Just one little point. Why is it that someone -- anyone -- who had seen him during training exercizes in Alabama has not stepped forward to say so ? Why hasn't Bush himself recalled anyone he saw in Alabama at that time who might be asked to verify that he was indeed there ? Just asking a question, not needling. My inclination is to think that the press will not keep quiet about this until such evidence is at hand.

And if a couple of men came forward the media would probably claim it was a setup. They don't want the truth, they want their dirty headlines.

Bill Clinton cheerleader historian Douglas Brinkley has published a book about John Kerry — Tour of Duty : John Kerry and the Vietnam War.

Douglas Brinkley is a member of the Gang of 400 that called themselves Historians in Defense of the ConstitutionGang of 400 used academic credentials to falsely claim expertise in the U.S. Constitution and impeachment, but some were merely librarians and most are specialists in non-Constitutional and esoteric subjects such as welfare statism, gender studies, womens' studies, multicultural programs, and the creation of another elite and privileged constituency, homosexuals.

The New York Times, Friday, October 30, 1998, page A15

HISTORIANS IN DEFENSE OF THE CONSTITUTION

As historians as well as citizens, we deplore the present drive to impeach the President. We believe that this drive, if successful, will have the most serious implications for our constitutional order.

Kerry inflates his resume "I've had major ships under my command in a tactical situation — I was able to call in air strikes, rockets, ships, troops, helicopters." ? ? ? — John Kerry in Time Magazine interview (February 9, 2004) — Kerry is basing this on six months serving as a junior officer in USS Gridley and commanding two Swift Boats — there should be some further explaining of these misleading statements by Kerry.

Oh, WOW. A treasure trove here. It just keeps getting more and more disgusting.

Remember when we all thought Clinton was the biggest liar? Well John F-ing Kerry might win that prize between now and November at the rate he's lying.

Answering this question legitimizes it.

Put those punks on their heels.

Kommie Kerry has LOTS to answer for.

This won't end the attacks on GWB's service in the guard. McAullife doesn't care about truth and facts. This will, however, make his attacks less effective and make him and Kerry look dishonest to many voters. So this information is valuable to the Bush team. McAullife is a Klintonite, which means essentially that he's a bald-faced liar who will do anything to win the next political battle (shades of the lead Goron). I think the liberal democrats are making a big mistake in voting for Kerry. Kerry is extremely weak on national security issues, and if he wins the nomination he'll lose the election because of his national security record. Looks like a grand strategy to enable the Hildabeast to run for an empty seat in 2008. The Hildabeast wants Kerry to lose a fairly close race that isn't an embarassment to the Demo-rats.

I just saw a clip from tonight where disabled vet Max Cleland (picked up a live grenade) said that up until JFK every President had been in the military and in battle and that we should return to such an arrangement. By saying this he totally negates the validity of anthing that Bill Clinton did militarily in the nineties. He also set up a standard that he would conveniently forget if Kerry somehow didn't get the nomination or if inconvenient if applied to any future democat presidential candidate.

How these dems can push for military credentials as a requirement (of course W has credentials just not combat experience) is such a blatant temporary litmus test to denegrate/apply ONLY to republicans seeking the Presidency or before appointing a person to secretary of defense or in an advisory position.
This standard would of course have disqualified not only Clinton but Aspin, Cohen, etc.

Yes, it looks to me like Kerry is being set up by the Clintons to be the loser in 2004 so the Hildabeast doesn't have to run against an incumbent in 2008. McAullife probably isn't in on the set-up but is being used by the Clintons to keep the race fairly close. Hildabeast knows Kerry is too weak on national security to win any Southern or Rocky Mountain states and he'll struggle throughout the conservative heartland. My bet is Kerry, if nominated, will win about 18 states and GWB wins the other 32 including all the states he won in 2000 plus several more.

Cleland OUGHT to be ashamed. He was a full-out Clinton hack and I am glad he was soundly voted out of office.

Democrats have NO shmae. Like Bob Dole said, (and I'm paraphrasing) "if military heroism was the qualifier, he would have won in a landslide in '96."

"Can someone tell me what this "unable to evaluate performance" means miltarily? I read in a post here today (I've searched for over an hour and can't relocate the post) where a Freeper explained that this did not mean Bush was not physically there to be evaluated but something else. Any help?"

This is probably what you remember seeing:

One other thing:

On an efficiency report/fitrep, the wording "not observed" means "not evaluated."

If he had been awol, they sure as heck would have written about that at length. They wouldn't have meekly said, "Not observed" if they meant "Awol."

They would have nailed any AWOL officer to the wall with their words. Probably something like, "This officer failed to report for duty during this period we supervised him and was AWOL. We recommend the immediate termination of this dirtbag with a less than honorable discharge!"

They don't pussyfoot around with awol officers.

Let's see how long it takes for the media to trash Mrs. Curtis. Fox has already mentioned her name, as did the Washington Times article.

rabid rats will believe this LIE because they want to believe it, look back on the calls you get to your local talk stations and what you occassionally hear on Hannity, they all repeat the DRUNK crap. Bush is a drunk. You see it in biased reporting. One caller after the MTP interview here said Bush was slurring his words because he was DRUNK.

This is all so choreographed it's ridiculous. If/when the GOP starts blasting back at John Fonda Kerry for his disgraceful and borderline treasonous post-war activity, the Dems will chirp "GOP attacks!" and "unfair payback!" IMHO it's a rather pathetic preemptive shot to reduce Kerry's significant baggage. But since he's made such an issue of Vietnam, I really don't think it's going to work.

The promiscuous, alcoholic ultraconservative - who is suspected of multiple nervous breakdowns - Emily Marks Curtis told The Times that she and Mr. Bush met in the summer of 1972

This may be an exaggeration, but I bet it's not by much when these imbeciles get through with her.

Unfortunately, you're probably right. This woman has exhibited a LOT of courage.

I guess that Mr. Cleland never heard of Presidents J. Adams, J.Q. Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Van Buren, Polk, Fillmore, Pierce, Buchanan, A.Johnson, Arthur, Cleveland, Taft, Wilson, Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, F.Roosevelt, and Clinton.
