Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's plans to streamline state government moved forward Tuesday with a call to state workers to begin offering their ideas and a June deadline when recommendations would be presented to the public.

Schwarzenegger promised during his State of the State speech last month to "blow up" the bureaucracy in an effort to remove waste and fraud. Administration officials announced Monday the opening of a campaign office for the Californian Performance Review as well as a Web site and hot line.

Let California go bankrupt! Fer crying out loud, SOMETHING needs to stop the spending madness. This bond issue REWARDS the idiot socialists in Sacramento.

No on EVERYTHING (except "son of 187" if it is on the ballot).

Any good ideas could be implemented immediately, Miner said, which the governor could do by executive order.

I have a suggestion for Arnie: Use Tom McClintock's ideas.

It is just Fantastic! You see, we issue these bonds and then the Kalifornia economy will grow and we will have jobs, jobs, jobs and all of those things. And then we won't ever be able to spend more than we have because it is for the Children. Kalifornia will be a Fantastic place once again!

Understand?

If you defeat the bonds you force cuts in California state government. That exactly whats needed. Also the terminator won't get the blame for those "awful, harsh" spending cuts that will only bother government employees and freeloaders.

Accent, or no accent, when pressed for details about this administrations' plans (California), the media seems to accept explanations similar to what I posted. Throughout the election campaign, I watched stunned, as question after question was left unanswered. The fact that the media now publishes headlines and news implying that this is a bipartisan bond initiative, and that the democrats are joining the team 'reluctantly', is a joke. They now have all the money they need to feed their spending addiction. As the article demonstrates... we are not issuing bonds only to 'refinance', nor is it all for 'existing debt'.... $3 Billion will be used for NEXT year.... meaning the state is continuing to spend more than it takes in by $3 Billion. I believe this is in addition to the $5 or $6 Billion that the Leg Analysts office found the budget to be out of balance. GW's spending is another subject... I don't have the energy to get into that one... I'll leave it to others to fight out.

Accent or no accent...

To pronounce our state like Ahnuld, use "Call-ee-fonia." The "Call" should be pronounced like "phone call" and note the absence of the "r."

And man are we getting it from the "see I told you so" crowd -- I just wish McClintock didn't look like Harpo Marx on TV (on radio he is dynamite!). His eyes always look unfocused -- like Howard Dean on meth.

We need to vote it all down!

I plan to vote NO. The Democrats are for Propositions 57&58 only cause they fear cuts to their programs.
