Yeah, Newfoundland. Beautiful dog, too.
Though I liked the Doberman, myself.

A primped, above-it-all Pekingese and a stylish, shaved standard poodle also earned their way into the final seven with group wins Monday. Always the standard poodle makes it. Always. Must be a payoff thing.

Continuation of the best of the breed. And money, of course.
Same as any other animal show.

A co-worker of mine once contemplated getting a Newfie. We both read through the description of the breed, and it mentioned that a Newfie ate three pounds of food per day. So I told him that translates into three pounds of doggie doo in his yard each day.
He didn't get the Newfie.

Yep. I was real partial to the Dobermann, too. . .hehehe.
But have you ever noticed that the Dobies ALWAYS seem to place, in every show?
Nothing, but nothing, is more regal or elegant than the Dobermann, noble animals that they are.

Hey, I keep hearing that Doberman's are great family dogs -- is that true? Any thoughts? We're thinking of Doberman, Lab or Chesapeake Bay -- got kids, and are willing to train everyone (dog and family), from puppyhood. Any and all input is appreciated. Our priorities are: 1) child-friendly; 2) watchdog 3) not a headache to groom. Thanks to any respondents!

glad you posted this. I was tempted to post a live thread last night, but thought it might be a waste of bandwidth...of course, so are stories about Algore and National guard service.
Dachsund up...great dog!!!!!

Boy, if the Norfolk Terrier wins, you can bet there's gonna be rioting in Virginia tonight - get outta town now! Westminster is like the Super Bowl of Dogs. More than a couple SUV's are now at risk.
