I was in Galveston during Claudette. It was the kind of rain you could drown in. We had to keep going out to drain the pool so it wouldn't run over, fill up the patio and get into the house. We could hardly breath because there was so much water in the air. No air, just water.

I should have just said the Galvez. It cost $1,000,000 which was a ton of money back then. It's a pretty good amount now.
