Newsbrief about President Bush's Service
FoxNews ^
Posted on 02/10/2004 10:08:36 AM PST by xzins
The reporters are belligerently denying the validity of the President's records that now show his service.
One mentioned an evaluation where the comment, "He was not observed at this unit" is made by the 2 deceased superior officers.
NOT OBSERVED AT THIS UNIT means that his duty performance was not observed for the purpose of evaluation.
It doesn't mean that he wasn't there!

Look, its the same stupid attack mode that they tried 4 years ago with respect Cocaine use.
They think that if they ask the same question 50 different ways, that they might get some dirt they can use. First Ari, now Scott has to go through this silliness in order to put the issue to bed.
He did great, just by repeating a single phrase. The reporters are kicking and screaming like ants after being sprayed. The issue is dying, and it hurts them.

"..The only important thing in that "grilling" was to notice how the media is willing to carry water for the Democrats....They have coordinated their questions."
Yep, this was an orchestrated Bush bash, courtesy of the Washington Press Corp. The good thing is that, anyone watching it can see how these waterboys (and girls) are attacking this issue like a bunch of hungry vultures.

No, at some point, their producers will tell them to knock it off, less they turn off viewers. The american people know when the media is out of control.

Here's a thought: Wow I can't say I would have blamed the GWD for avoiding the draft by joining the guard, it is honorable service, and not just because it's a flavor of the military. A LOT of freepers have brought up border defense, usually in context of the illegals, but run with me on this for a sec.
We have an emergent BMD right? Well, during Vietnam, we had real concerns of military invasion HERE, vis-a-vis USSR actions, Cubans, and possibly the PRC. So ANG service had a real role to play in our common defense.
The Dems and their shills need to shut their pieholes.

Carrying water for the Democrats.
It was even more than the questions themselves. Was it my imagination or were they asking their questions in a belligerent tone, insulting in their interrupting follow-ups, and sneering in their appearances?
You nailed it. Carrying water for the Democrats.
This makes certain to me that the President will have to fight his way through the media throughout.
THEY JUST WENT back to the news conference on FoxNews.

The press are a pack of hungry wolves today. Extra hungry.
This is relentless persecution.
If Bubba had been pressed this hard on several of his issues, we'd be in a much better place as a country today.
McClellan needs to get control of the interview and go to another topic.

This is beyond sad by everyone's accounts here. I'm quite glad I'm not watching because I think my head would explode. Imagine how these traitorous creeps called the media will be acting next October. I get a headache just thinking about it.

Some of us were commenting on another thread. I'm glad you have one devoted to this briefing in particular.
John Roberts was first out of the gate YELLING at McClellan.
They've raised the bar and want real people who served with the president. The records are no longer enough.
They have harped on dates matching when he was there serving, so next they will swarm out looking to catch a "lie".
They are being completely disgraceful.
Gregory cites Turnipseed again about the "Not observed" and how does that square with payroll records.

"Wow" should be "While".
Wish I could edit posts around here!

This is an issue that will be short-lived and be gone as soon as the attention of the press is diverted elsewhere. The media suffers from a collective Attention Deficit Disorder. They will focus on this issue for a few days, get bored and move on to the next fake issue.

I bet if someone whispered to one of the WH Press Corp that Drudge is breaking a story of Janet Jackson's nude CD cover (with a picture no less), they'd run out of there like scalded dogs.

They just returned to the "not observed" statement.
McClellan is not thinking fast on his feet.
Observed is a word with a double meaning. One is "to see." The other is "to evaluate."
The principal of the high school observed each of his teachers for purposes of helping them get better.

Isn't is fascinating that this all comes out on Monday and Tuesday, letting the media have it for the whole week? Then when news comes out about some high level HIllary/Dim corruption it's released at 4:45 pm Friday afternoon.

Bush has proven time and time again that he has no problem taking on both the Dems and their media hand-maidens. There will be doubters along the way, but in the end, when it matters, Bush will win.
End of story.
