find'em and deport'em ALL

You're going to need 18,181 max capcity 747 sorties or 181,818 Greyhound bus sorties once you get all 10 million centrally located. Or if you prefer, do a little research into 20th century German history and figgure out a way to use rail cars. Not only is it a logistics nightmare, it's also damaging to our national soul.

As far as locating the illegals, just what do you think the guest worker permits would do. It gives us the ability to find and identify the illegals in an orderly manner without resorting to SWAT team tactics.

Part of the proposal was to get congress to strengthen border control measures to prevent further incursions. A lot of people miss that part and jump rigth on the mythical amnesty offer.

Some people complain as if all 10 million of them came in after the 2000 elections. They fail to recognize that Bush is the first President to actually address this issue. I think the plan is workable. The 'round 'em up and deport 'em' plan is basicly a knee jerk reponse similar to the ill thought 'logic' we got from the 'nuke Afghanistan & Iraq' crowd.

Actually, I think during Reagan's presidency, there was a general amnesty. Along with that amnesty were promises to tighten border security. Worked real well back then, didn't it?

"You're going to need 18,181 max capcity 747 sorties or 181,818 Greyhound bus sorties once you get all 10 million centrally located."

GO FOR IT!!!! I'm willing to pay my share.

"Or if you prefer, do a little research into 20th century German history and figgure out a way to use rail cars."

That'd work too (but your thinly veiled linkage to Nazi atrocity won't fly).

"Not only is it a logistics nightmare, it's also damaging to our national soul."

BULL****!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is "damaging to our national soul" is TOLERATING DEFIANCE OF OUR LAWS!!!!!!!! (and yes, I "am" yelling).

"As far as locating the illegals, just what do you think the guest worker permits would do. It gives us the ability to find and identify the illegals in an orderly manner without resorting to SWAT team tactics."

I've got no problem with ANY legal system of immigration control, as long as it involves NO amnesty for ANY current illegal here in defiance of our laws.

"Part of the proposal was to get congress to strengthen border control measures to prevent further incursions. A lot of people miss that part and jump rigth on the mythical amnesty offer."

No problem with improving border control, but it should also include provisions and funding to INCREASE LOCATION AND DEPORTATION of current illegals.

"Some people complain as if all 10 million of them came in after the 2000 elections.."

I don't give a flying damn WHEN they came---if they are here illegally, then they should be arrested and deported----PERIOD. And, no, Virginia--"arrest'em and deport'em" is NOT a "knee jerk response"---it is simply WHAT THE LAW REQUIRES.

You know, that bunch of little societal rules that we are ALL supposed to follow.

If "I" am expected to follow the rules of this country, then I expect the same of anyone and everyone else here--be they citizen or immigrant. Certanly this is what is require of US when we go inside THEIR borders.
