Yeah, I want one, for "home defense" of course.Me too. Too bad our 'betters' won't let us have one...

Isn't he gonna tear off his thumb after the first shot?
It looks like he's got it hooked around the action.
I hope it is a non-reciprocating bolt handle, but even so, I wouldn't risk it.
My concern is relying on the flimsy M-16 mag as a grip might be hard on those Reynolds Wrap buggers.

There have been some threads on this thing in the last year. You could probably search around and find them.

Army Times reports: "Some soldiers serving in Afghanistan are testing a new shotgun...
It has a 7¾-inch barrel, compared to most riot-style shotgun barrels that measure between 18 to 20 inches..."
UNITED STATES v. MILLER, 307 U.S. 174, 178 (1939): "In the absence of any evidence tending to show that possession or use of a 'shotgun having a barrel of less than eighteen inches in length' at this time has some reasonable relationship to the preservation or efficiency of a well regulated militia, we cannot say that the Second Amendment guarantees the right to keep and bear such an instrument. Certainly it is not within judicial notice that this weapon is any part of the ordinary military equipment or that its use could contribute to the common defense."
My, my, my, now isn't that interesting!

I've seen one of those beauties. They would be quite effective for scaring off unwanted people.

Does that mean I can now legally own a sawed off shotgun? Of course you can. You've always been able to, they're not illegal. Same as with an SBR. I think the tax is 200 bucks. (They might be considerd an AOW for 5 bucks, but I don't know exactly what qualifies as an AOW and I don't think any type of shotgun would).

They've got it exactly right- The LSS is a straight-pull repeater, NOT a semiauto. Hooking his thumb there allows him to pull the action handle back by just straightening his fingers out and using his thumb to crank the action, faster than removing his supporting hand and using it to pull the knob back, then slam it forward.
What'll you bet that previous complaints about how* I shot him 5, 6 times with my M4, but he kept on coming* are about to come to a screeching halt, at least for those who stagger in to about 40 yards or so where the buckshot will reach out to.

It seems the soldier is in a pose for PR purposes. Most likely he's not actully firing said weapon. If this were an actual test, a "technical advisor" would most certainly correct the grip. IMHO.

Street Sweepers and Strykers were reclassified as destructive devives. Destructive devices are legal to own depending on your state of residence. Same with automatic weapons.

If you can talk the company into civilian sales and they are willing to sell you one you can legally own this little toy... Provided the BATFE will give you the paperwork and the tax paper.
For about $2000.00 plus shipping. (and the $200.00 gov't fee)
However you'll be seeing the boys from the BATFE alot more than you want to..
and you'll be wasting your money as it will be declared a "Scarey-Looking Gun" and banned (unless it's for Government use..) as soon as a Dem gets a toe-hold in the White House. Then the JBTs will have all the excuse they need to come by your house with flash-bangs and sub-machineguns and "help" you turn in that "evil gun"...

Arch -
You really need to watch the pics of weapons you post.
The twin double barrels are "heart breakers", not life takers...

Does that mean I can now legally own a sawed off shotgun? I'm thinking the Miller decision is now a moot point. Great catch!

VERY interesting! Time to revisit Miller, maybe someone should saw off a shotgun to ten inches and take it out to a public range, with lawyers and cameras? And copies of these articles, naturally.
