[history]
A man is wounded as she defends her home with two handguns.
Firing nine rounds from two handguns, a 53-year-old Rancho Cordova woman fended off an intruder Thursday night after he crashed through her sliding glass door. William Kriske, a 47-year-old parolee, was treated for a gunshot wound to the arm, then taken to jail and arrested on suspicion of burglary and resisting arrest, according to Sacramento County Sheriff's Sgt. "The answer is, no one can say for sure at the end of the day that the presence of a firearm doesn't increase your risk of getting injured, nor does it reduce your risk," She knows for sure.
To: Saundra Duffy
Wow! Kudos to the 2nd Amendment and a needy practitioner thereof, armed and able to defend her life and property.

Empty one .38, and start unloading on another pistol... and miss the target 9 times? Sure, she missed her furniture, but shooting like that makes her a menace to any neighbor within about about a mile radius. It was blind luck she didn't hit someone next door.
I'm glad she defended her home. I'm just glad she didn't have a fully automatic machine gun with 10,000 rounds. The only thing left standing would be the perp, and her sofa.

Not a question as to the fact one of the surveys is obviously wrong! Essentially he's saying "well, since there is a disagreement in the research, there is no right answer".
Why is it we allow these people to hold jobs teaching our kids?

Wholey Cow! Nine shots, one hit? Her adrenaline must have been sky high, or she's never practiced with those shootin' irons.

I was trying to miss my furniture. Priorities, right? She's one of the few in CA who do have their priorities right, lol.

Give her a gift certificate for some target practice lessons at a range, too. I love these 'armed citizens defend their property' articles (especially when it's a woman!) But squeezing off nine rounds and hitting the perp once in the arm shows that the lady needs to learn how to properly aim and take 'em out in one (maybe two, to confirm, ya know) shots.
Her three friends that got outta there were wise.

"That's OK, I don't think he'll be back," said Lisle, who emptied one .357 revolver at the intruder before she retrieved a second one and he crashed through another window to flee. "I was trying to miss my furniture. Priorities, right?" Lisle said. I think I'm in love. We HAVE to send her a Valentine's Day present!!!
To: Saundra Duffy
She said one of the men yelled after the retreating burglar: "And that's just our womenfolk." Pieces of The Real America DO still remain!
