OK, shall we strike the "Machiavellian ploy" discriptor?
This is clear: Bush is either speaking truthfully about his plan or he is not.
I believe him to be an honest man speaking what he believes. Now that the "meeting" is open for discussion, as you say, perhaps he will listen to his board members.
Enough of Bush, how do you feel about the border/immigrant issues and their effects on America decades from now?

Just because they comprise 1/3 of the governmental triangle and can write law and review how the executive branch is carrying out its execution of that law!

It may surprise you, but you and I probably agree on most of the elements regarding the border/immigration issues. Our disagreement is in the way the problem solving is handled. I also think I trust the president more than you appear to.
