It came across as sounding as if it started as soon as he came on board (that it was his fault) rather than explaining the concept of ... Why not just come out and say:
"The Clinton Justice department torpedoed Microsoft in March (?) of 2000 sending the markets down in advance of my arrival"?
Going into detail to explain the intricacies of what technically constitutes 'a recession' would be a trip into 'algore excessive technical detail land' ...

I just heard the POTUS say it is "History's calling to America" to "fight aids" and "feed the hungry." History's calling to America? What does that even mean? Put on your Big Picture Vision glasses instead of using the microscope zeroed in on your tiny spot issues, and you may understand it.

What bothers me is his quasi-liberal mindset ie: "We've got a big problem in Iraq.", or adding credence to this bogus AWOL charge which has already been settled, even by the NYT for God's sakes. That's what I thought while I was watching it, but we both know the questions are still being asked, so good for both of them to have the questions asked in the interview - Russert looks like a tough interviewer who isn't afraid to ask the hard questions, GWB isn't afraid to tackle and answer the tough questions.

Since I am referening a MUCH earlier post, let me clarify that it is KERRY that does the SNAKE-LIKE THING WITH HIS TONGUE.

"I find NOTHING wrong with repeating an answer to the same question asked 50 different ways. I like clarity and staying on message."
I thought the first 30 minutes were great--TR kept trying to hammer him on the missing WMD, but all he ended up doing was to give GW a chance to explain repeatedly to the people his belief that SH was a threat, etc., and to put it in the context of "we are at war."
From a Dem standpoint, TR's questions were self-defeating.

I am glad Tim Russert is asking him the tough questions because the democreeps are going to be asking him all these questions in the debates. Bush is doing a good job.

Dana Millbank says there are organizations planning a "Summer of Gay Love" in Massachusetts and the president won't have to raise the issue.
Chris had shown Kerry, when asked about his stance on gay marriage framing the question as an attack on him emanating from the WH. Saying his stance is the "same as Cheney's. so before they attack me..." blah blah blah.
To: krunkygirl
I noticed Kerry..unattractive habit.

Russert and I need to make more trips to the Salad Bar. I don't know about Russert (and don't really want to know), but I can still get my arms around you to give you a hug.

I have an idea! LET'S bombard the White House with TONS of valentines cards telling W we love him!!!!! That'll but a sock in the RATS mouths!!! It's so disrespectful how these bastard whores keep telling him in his face how people HATE him! I don't remember them EVER telling the FREAKIN RAPIST aka BUBBA the people HATED HIM!! UGHHHHHHHHH!! God give me peace!
To: Major_Risktaker
I am so pissed off about the way Russert has guided this "interview", that I am tempted to find him and put a pie in his face. I hate that ba*tard for what he did today. This is very unfair, and to remember the LOVEFEST Russert had with Hillary just weeks ago. This is a sin!

Ok, I've been watching Bush for 20 minutes.
My girlfriend said something just now that I didnt see mentioned on this thread, which is "He just looks like I can trust him." This is a woman who knows almost nothing about politics, which is true for MOST people in America.
Bush is going to win this election for that reason alone, if not all the others. The simple fact that the man does not look like a slimey lying weasel like the Democrats do.

Then, suddenly, the night before the election, Zogby came out and said what I had been saying all along - this Jeb Bush is about to win this election in a double-digit landslide. And, Gov Bush did win it that way, by 14 points.
****
Interesting --- Zogby did the same thing with the first or second Kerry/Dean matchup. I wonder if he keeps two sets of books all along!

I do not get this anti-Cheney stuff on FR. He is doing a great job and the country knows it - the only people that hate him is the left and their stooges in the media. I could not disagree with you more. Cheney is very well respected in this country. I would not believe the "polls" if I were you.
He will come out swinging bye bye and make is opponents look like teenagers as he alsway does.
Don't believe the hype.
