Russert just asked the "greeted as liberators" question. President Bush has to point out that we ARE greeted as liberators.
I truly detest Russert for ignoring that fact. It is a fact that Iraqis have wept with joy at our presence, and Russert outright ignores that.
President Bush explaining this. Russert interrupts (as he tried to earlier) and President Bush again has to ask to finish, and he does.
Russert is being a true blue Clymer.
To: Alas Babylon!
Bush to Russert:
"I know I am getting repetitive here Tim but I want to make sure you are clear on where I am coming from"
translation: "Tim you ignorant DNC fatty, I know why you are here but you are not going to succeed with your McCauliffe script strategy, I have a clear message that I will not allow you and your pals at the DNC and NBC to contort into something else."..."here, have another white house jelly donut"

How 'bout a real gun? I can be like Elvis, shooting out my TV! I don't think my roommate would appreciate that though....

The President will not let TR ignore his answers, and keeps continuing to complete his answers - his time frame, not Russert's.

Lay continued to be on Heinz board until last year when the gigolo decided to run for the presidency.
Ms.Heinz spokesperson commented that Lay was excellent on environmental issues, despite his problem in other areas.......

The Democrats would prefer that Saddam had a nuclear weapon, making it nearly impossible for us to depose him and free his country.

"Does Bush have a credibility gap" and off she goes to interview a TIME reporter. Matt Cooper. Bush is on the hot seat. (Yes they are both using "Bush", not President).I started a thread yesterday on this very subject - the impolite rudeness, the discourteousness, and ungracious disrespect that liberal newsies illustrate for The President and the office by leaving off the word "President". Check it out.

I agree GWB did Great!
Particlarly I loved it when he basically said, "I don't care what the polls show." And, "I am not going to lose." I loved it!
The media manipulate the polls trying to influence voters. A poll never changed my mind about anything.
To: lainde
LOL.
I wish I had the article that Rush quoted from on Friday.
The numbers in the article completely debunk the Rat's mantra that 2.2 million jobs have been lost.
Yes we lost jobs. But we also CREATED jobs. The net job loss is actually only something like 300,000!

Airing here: Russert pulls out the 2000 "no nation building" quote.
President Bush says "Let me put that in context. You're pulling one of those Washington tricks" of pulling quotes out of context.
And he's right. That is exactly what Russert is doing.
To: thesummerwind
Yet these media misfits still refer to Clinton as President Clinton. I hate them all.
To: MEG33
HA! President Bush says to Russert "I'm not suggesting you're trying one of those tricks where you leave out half of the equation..." Said with a twinkle in his eye. He knows exactly what Russert is up to.

Washington DC area... MTP coming up in 5 minutes -- follows an awful "The Chris Matthews Show"... talking about Demo talking points. I just wrote my weekly angry email at that stupid show.

The more I watch this interview, the more I think the Dems are really wrong in berating GW on this whole Iraq war because the Dems want to talk out of both sides of their mouth: (1) the war was wrong; but (2) oh yes, we agree it is good that Saddam is gone. Well, Saddam would not be gone if not for the war, so that position the Dems keep saying is disingenuous. GW is right when he points out that diplomatic efforts had failed for a long time with Iraq, and thus - the war. How many times he can say that, I don't know; but I do think the Dems lose on this issue, and if they think they can win the election on this issue, they are wrong.
