I wonder if Kerry and co. even regard Saddam as a terrorist, as they apparently have definitive proof that Saddam wasn't involved in 9/11.
Seems like Kerry would spare Saddam the Death Penalty, if Saddam isn't a terrorist.
So Kerry has to answer the question, is Saddam a terrorist?.
If he is, then I guess he is a legitimate target after all in our war on terrorism.
And if he isn't, Kerry would spare him the Death Penalty.
What a tangled web these demented commie loving perverted baby killing anti-semitic socialist SOB's have weaved for themselves.

Russert on no nation-building quote by Pres Bushg in 2000. President answers (paraphrasing), "We fought a war against Saddam. What are supposed to do, walk away now that we defeated them? There are still terrorists and disgrunted Ba'athists we're still fighting. Democracy in Iraq will stabilize the Middle East."
I might add, this isn't going in and making both sides be nice to each other. And we need to occupy a nation we've defeated before leaving and congratulating ourselves. We learned that in WWI, when we gave up on the world and got Hitler, Stalin, and Tojo for our lack of attention.

While I am waiting to see MTP here, may I say that Julian on Fox and Friends is a contemptible little worm?

Russert: No stockpiles in Iraq and the primary rationale was to disarm Hussein, Wolfowitz said we settled on WMD we could agree on but there were other issues: support of terrorist organizations and the treatment of Iraqi people.
In your mind was it worth loss of life...
Bush: All life is precious. Every perso that is willing to sacrifice deserves our praise. Yes. It's essential that I explain this properly to the parents.
Saddam Hussein was dangerous. He had the ability to make weapons, at the very MINIMUM. For the soldiers who are listening:
David Kay came back and said Iraq was more dangerous that we thought.
A free Iraq will change the world. A free Iraq will make it easier for other children to grow up in a safer world. Tim, as you can tell I have a foreign policy that believes America has a responsibility in this world. We have a responsibility to fight the war on terror, to promote freedom, to free people from the barbaric regimes of Saddam Hussein's, to feed the hungry. That is history's call.
Russert: In light of not finding WMD. Was this war a choice or a necessity.
Bush: An interesting question. We had no choice when we looked at the intelligence I looked at. Repeating himself.

With our current general (lack of) understanding, and the total media left bias, a conservative agenda is UN-ELECTABLE! To be elected President you have to get the majority of the idiot middle, and they have been poisoned by the (liberal) public school "education" and the crap that masquerades as news; print and b'cast. Our only hope (IMHO) is to obtain powerful majorities in both Houses and then (and NOT before the election) POUND them all to move back to the Constitutional definition of the U.S.

TR: UN role in rebuilding Iraq?
GWB: Not going to give them a role spending our money. Will play a vital role in helping Iraqis develop a new government.
International community can help restore infrastructure.
TR: Primary rationale for war was to disarm Saddam. Wolfowitz said helping Iraqis reason to remove Saddam but not reason to put our lives at risk. In hindsight was what we did worth 500+ American lives?
GWB: All lives precious, but in a nutshell, YES. Saddam was dangerous, can leave a madman in power. At minimum had ability to make weapons. Kay said in many ways Iraq more dangerous than we thought.
Free Iraq will change the world. These are historic times. Middle East full of hatred & violence. America has a responsibility to lead in the world, speak out against threats, do something about people like Saddam, fight AIDS, fight hunger. That's history's call.
TR: Since we didn't find WMD, was war in Iraq war of choice or of necessity?
GWB: We had no choice when we looked at the intelligence I looked at. The man was a threat. I sound like a broken record, but Kay returned with an interim report that said iraq was a dangerous place, & when asked if Pres. made right decision, Kay said YES.

Julian may be the "balanced" part of the Fox logo, but I simply cannot watch the weekend crowd on Fox and Friends. THEY are not my friends...can't stand any of them.

The President did a wonderful job. What many miss is that the RATS are like troubled individuals in that they seemingly can't let go of the past. Whether it is Viet Nam(remember all the talk about quagmire) or Iraq (they are still fighting whether the war was justified) they have nothing to say except they "were right." Time goes on, but they don't want to make the change.
No matter what the President says, the left will not treat him or the Pubbies fairly by discussing real and future issues. Other than an emotional dislike of the President (not only policies but his observant Christian Faith)and their unwarranted belief that some sort of bureaucratic UN policy should be our foreign policy, they have nothing to offer. I truly believe, the average swing voter will see this if efforts are made by all to bring into the foreground from the background.

The only reason the President is repeating himself is that TR is repeating himself. He keeps asking the same question over and over again, just phrased a little differently.
I'm not watching, just what I'm gathering from the posts.

I don't know if you are watching the interview or reading our attempts to hit the high points.
BUT, the president's answer to why we went to war are NOT as you said, weasel words.
