Roy deserved to go to the Pro Bowl this year.

It's tough being a Sooner fan and be from Texas. Even harder when you're stationed in Kansas 20 miles from K-State.

Things could be worse. I could cheer for that "other" school up in Stillwater! LOL!

LaRouche as a protest candidate? That might get him more votes than the last 10 times he's run officially!

" I was an Air Force 1st Lt at that same time, and got out 6 months early of my 4 year commitment."

SHHHHHHHHH don't let huskerco hear you say that! He'll start spouting off some drivel about you not having fufilled your commitment or some such nonsense!

Not to mention adding phantom bullet comments to your old OER's

It sucks to be a one-issue voter,

yes it does. but freedom, the market, education, healthcare and the like mean little if America is brought to her knees.

GW Is overall, fighting the good fight and has his priorities correct.

discussions of domestic and foriegn policy are worthless while underfire.

There are matters which I dont agree upon with the President but I am willing to shelve them as he is a remarkable leader.

I only wish that America could be as steadfast as our President.

And look at how the three of them treat him now. No wonder he won't go on the talk shows on sunday anymore and rarely gives interviews. He's been nice and tried to be friendly with his counterparts and all he got in return from them was a kick in the pants.

And I have a feeling he had experienced a lot of pretty friendly interaction with those sports guys that turned around and shunned him immediately after his ESPN remark.

Oh, I see "Dateline" is going to play excerpts of the MTP interview.

I don't expect you to get it.

Thank you. My well-informed and historical perspective is clearly incompatible with your far too myopic and much less strategic mode of thought. But you and your Constitution Party types are on the fringe here on FR, anyway, so we already know to take anything you post in stride, while at the same time remaining painfully aware of who writes your material.

" discussions of domestic and foriegn policy are worthless while underfire"

That's not so, ever. And we are not "under fire" -- at war, sure, at risk of terror, sure ... just we are not under fire in the US.

Why isn't it so, ever? Because even on the line, the rear must be maintained and strengthened, or the line is meaningless.

Kerry compared serving in the Guard to draft dodging, or going to Canada.

Isn't there some old adage or saying that goes "You can't have a stong domestic policy unless you have a strong foreign policy"? Or something like that. Let's review.

BC - Inherits the start or an upturn in the economy as a result of the Elder Bush's final fiscal budget, when he has to run it on his own, BC props the econimic numbers up with inflated figures and smoke and mirrors long enough for Algore to claim partial credit for the good economy during the Election. Revised numbers show the economy was actually heading into a recession in early 2000. Meanwhile, BC's foreign policy is non-existant at worst and piece-meal at best.

GW - Inherits a recession from BC that is exacerbated by 9/11. Stands firm on two rounds of tax cuts and puts teeth into U.S. foreign policy by hunting down terrorists after 9/11 in Afghanistan and around the world and ejects Saddam Hussein from Iraq, finally enforcing the Iraqi Liberation Act of 1998. Economy is rebounding, DOW is above 10K again and business growth rates are at their highest levels since Regan.

See any connections in there?

You do have it tough! WOW!

My daughter's sorority at OU, AOII, has about 1/2 of its members from the Dallas area. The are rabid Sooner fans but then a lot of their parents graduated from OU.

Last year my daughter and I went to the Galleria Mall in Dallas and at the flag shop bought an OU window flag. The lady told us she sells more Sooner flags then any other college.

Was at K-State last summer when my son was considering going there for his Master's in English. After the visit, he chose to come back to OU and finish the Honor's college requirements before graduating. He couldn't bring himself to go there after being at OU. He is really glad now that he made that decision.

We had an outstanding recruiting class out of Texas -- #1 running back as well as overall player in the Country and the #1 quarterback in the Country -- both from Texas as well as a Receiver from Austin! It should be interesting next year!

I can only hope that Karl Rove and the re-election team are saving all of these quotes to use in some devistating commercial ads.

I thought Russert was pretty good too. He asked a lot of stupid questions -- but they were the ones that the leftists have been making hay with, so it gave Dubya a good chance to respond. And he asked tough questions without being disrespectful or nasty. I don't think Mr. Bush could ask for any more than that.

My fave part was when he asked "what if you lose", and W goes "Oh I'm not going to lose". And he's not, for the same reason he didn't lose to Algore. Because he knows who he is and John F'ing Kerry doesn't know who HE is. Mr. Bush wants to lead the world to peace, Kerry just wants to be president. Big difference.

I dont just see it, I feel it! I was ever so proud to serve under President Reagan, and I do what I can under President Bush.

I believe as I think those men do, that America is nothing if we cowtow to the endless assualt of the world.

Dems are just practicing for November. I think John Ashcroft lost his senate seat after polls were kept open late in Missouri in 2000.
