Kerry said Democrats represent the mainstream, Republicans the "extreme," on a number of issues, including tax cuts, fiscal responsibility, health care, violence against women, the federal judiciary, civil liberties and national security. Wait a second, wait a second...violence against women? Where the heck did that come from? Did I miss the part of the Republican platform about "keepin' the little woman in line" or something?

talking to people about jobs, schools, health care and the environment.You talk about those things John. You're guaranteed to lose.
The other day I was talking to a guy who said he's never voted for a Repoublican in his life - can't stand them - but he's already decided to vote for Bush in November, because we're at war, and the Democrats are weak.
No prompting on my part, either. The guy came up with it on his own. Of course, I told him he was absolutely right and encouraged him to tell all his Democrat friends about it.
