Now that I am getting into this topic, let me ask, what is the purpose of reintroducing wolves into the plain states? I can understand the reintroduction into Yellow Stone and other National Parks that the park service wishes (and I agree) to maintain in a natural state. But why the plans where live stock and wild life have lived in relative balance for 100 years? Also, what are the real number of wolves in the lower 48? Surely there can't be large numbers where they are in fact a real threat to live stock and wild game.
