[history]
U.S. forces in Iraq found seven pounds of cyanide (search) during a raid late last month on a Baghdad house believed connected to an Al Qaeda (search) operative, U.S. officials said.
The cyanide salt was in either one or several small bricks, and U.S. officials said they believe it was to have been used in an attack on U.S. or allied interests. Cyanide is extremely toxic and can be used as a chemical weapon, although it was unclear if the cyanide was in a form that could be used that way easily.

He and his followers are believed to have sought cyanide and other chemical weapons for use in attacks in the past, American officials say.
I didn't know there were plans to use cyanide as WMD.
Has anyone ever tried to use cyanide as a chemical weapon? How? Water supplies? Food contamination?

I could see the Dumbocrats talking points already, "If Bush didn't pursue this reckless unjustified war, Saddam would have never primed the WMD, thus putting the lives of the CHILDREN in danger."

Let's start with the very basic .... one stick of dynamite - tie it to a small block of cyanide - Boom!
Cyanide powder blowing in the breeze.....
Do this in a crowded market upwind .... etc etc etc

This won't nearly be "big enough" to say Bush was right. The libs will blow this off like it's nothing. Until they find a warehouse full of ICBMs marked "To USA" with the "fuses" all lit, it won't "rise to the level". And even then, it'll be Bush's fault. This is exactly why I think the administration is waiting until all these things are gathered together before they are released. One by one they are not all that impressive, but in one big announcement it's going to make a considerable difference.

No Casualty Report Found! I've noticed this the past couple of days while watching the news....and been thrilled. :-)
Also noticed the lack of reports on the military sites and came to your same conclusion. The troops are busy kickin' butt.
GO GET 'EM TROOPS!!
Keeping them in my prayers for their safety and for success in their efforts. If there's any more of that cyanide salt, I hope they get it out of the terrorists' hands soon.

So we can't attack anyone anywhere! Unless we check a person for an "Al Qaeda" membership card, and find one. Then I guess it's okay.Absolutely not! Because everyone knows that the Bush regime, in its headlong rush to war, knew this was going to happen and printed out millions of phony Al Qaeda identification cards and used Sharon and the Mossad to plant them on innocent peace-loving Muslim men throughout the Middle East. The Mossad did this, of course, right after they called 4,000 Jews who worked at the WTC on the night of Sept 10, 2001 and "suggested" that they not go to work the next day. So we just can't attack anyone at all, unless of course our president is a Democrat who got caught undressing the interns in the Oval Office.
