[Eric in the Ozarks]

My wife and I and another couple sailed from Two Harbors to Rouge Steel several years ago aboard an Interlake steamer. I noticed the boat sort of "bumped along" when we went upriver into the Ford Works.
Where the heck is all the water going ? Is there less rainfall and drainage coming out of Boundry Waters ?

My understanding is that we have had too many dry winters. We need wet air blowing up from the south and heavy snows that aren't Lake effect.
