Likely, but we can always hope it was an Israeli nuclear test.

It's unconfirmed - but CNN said they had reports that Yassin was in the area and his son was killed. That information does not correspond to the AP reports. Still monitoring several sources...

CNN has listed the occupants of the car by name - neither Yassin nor his son are among them.

Killing those Palestinian militants was a great victory in the fight against terrorism ; destroying the French built Peugot was just icing on the cake.

Israeli Missile Hits Islamic Jihad Car in Gaza

GAZA (Reuters) - An Israeli helicopter slammed a missile into a car in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, wounding at least three members of the militant Islamic Jihad group who were traveling inside, witnesses said.

Two passers-by were also injured, they said. The missile slammed into the front of the vehicle, turning it into a mound of twisted metal. The three Islamic Jihad militants inside were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

"I heard the three helicopters. I saw them overhead and suddenly a big explosion happened," witness Ahmed Nahal told Reuters. "I saw the car caught fire. The driver had lost his leg which was lying outside the car."

Israel has killed scores of Palestinian militants in helicopter missile attacks on their cars since a Palestinian uprising began in September 2000. The strikes have been widely condemned by the international community.

Yeah, I don't trust French cars anymore. I nearly got stranded on a volcano when a Citreon I rented flaked out.
