the same point about so-called "human rights" groups whose job is to imply moral equivalence between the government and the rebels.
The Liberal media didn't miss the opportunity to bash him.

Thanks for those cross-references. The second article is particularly interesting, revealing the agenda of the media in this.
An organization that O'Grady focused on in yesterday's column (entitled, "Cooking the Human Rights Books in Colombia") was the Jesuit-run Center for Popular Research and Education (CINEP). This group apparently supplies much of the statistics and info used by us and by other countries and agencies in dealing with Colombia - and they are, frankly, almost completely false or so distorted it amounts to the same thing.
The good news is that our Embassy is apparently reviewing this data and the methodology used to produce it, so I think the game is up. Well, until the left comes up with another method of lying, which never seems to take them very long.
