This woman strikes me as VERY sharp.

She's what every wife should strive to be, a true partner. I have nothing but absolute admiration for Laura Bush.

Laura Bush is one classy First Lady and she is one powerful compaigner as well. She could be W's best face to disarm the media hounds w/o the hounds know they were trapped in an unwinnable situation. I thought her answer of Judy Dean is classy and very appropriate. Judy Dean comes off very well on camera and had "Howie" skipped the scream, Howiee could come in my better shape than now. So sad that Howiee not recognizing the power of a political spouse can be. Laura's calm is a perfect balance of W's confidence - too bad howiee didn;t recognize the nice calm, stable image of a Judy Dean would have to balance out his own "off the cuff" silly goofs.

She is such an asset to the President. Think Hilary or Mrs. Kerry. Yuk!!

Interesting read. Laura Bush is a classy and smart woman. I just wish the author hadn't used that word village for one analogy.

I caught that too...I got the impression of carefully concealed contempt on the part of the author. Perhaps it's just because I've had 1 hour sleep in the past 30...but I definitely detected a contemptous undercurrent.

Me too! She's such a genuine person. And she clearly supports her husband (as I do!)

I agree with your assessment except the carefully concealed contempt, IMO, was not to carefully concealed.
Laura Bush has my utmost respect. I also have always admired her mother in law. Too of the best first ladies we have had in ages.

That is what I have always said..mostly because I am a professional woman too.. Judy Dean did not deserve the remarks about her looks or critism because she didnt appear on the campaign trail.. She did what she thought was most important.. Take care of her patients.. and she was correct.. HoHo is history and she did what was right for her I respect her for that!!

Laura Bush has conducted herself with intelligence, dignity, and class, and for that alone she is superior to the previous First Lady. But she's also very much her own person.
To: stockpixx
I agree. She always looked like somebody who was "nice" and whose priorities were in the right order. I remember one of the first quotes by her was to the effect " he would get running for POTUS out of his system" before he did.

"I mean it's the intelligence that everyone in the United States in any role of authority has had," Mrs. Bush added. It absolutely is, and the rats and the media know this! There is no journalistic integrity in this country.
Fabulous article about a fantastic First Lady, who is indeed, a Lady.

"Laura Bush is one classy First Lady...."
Yes, it is really nice to have a First Lady again, after all it was eight long years, that we did not have a First Lady. We had a First Madam, during those eight years.

I think the campaign will unleash Mrs. Bush as soon as the public starts getting a tast of Mrs. Catsup. Hopefully the sheeple will be able to tell what is class and what is synthetic
To: punster
Yes I really respect Laura.. What a nice relief after HiLiary
To: punster
