Well the GOP in general is having a bad path in the polls, and I suspect Carson is better known than Humphreys. Still the poll is a big disappointment. Carson is quite the charmer, and will be difficult to demonize.

While the hell doesn't JC Watts run? He's probably aiming for governor in '06.

The national results will count in states like Oklahoma...
An uber-liberal like Kerry can drag down good Democrat candidates, just as Clinton did in 1996 with Ben Nelson in Nebraska.

Come on, this is with registered voters, sampled 525 Dems and 326 Reps. I don't know what the registration numbers are in OK, but this seems skewed to me.
If these numbers hold up by July, then start worrying. But there hasn't even been a primary yet. Republicans are notorious for holding on to an insurgent candidate and then returning to the fold when the fear of electing a Democrat hits.
You're right about IL, though.

consumer logic pollster could be Rat pollster, or OK is likes their RAT GOV etc....
OK still has a RAT State house and senate

I think the answer is that they grossly overesampled D voters:
525 Dems and 326 Reps.

Carson is quite the charmer, and will be difficult to demonize. This could be due to some questioning Humphrey's conservative credentials. There is a quote somewhere from from Istook in an article a few months back that I cannot find now. In it he predicted that Humphries might not excite voters on account of his attempt to raise taxes in OKC.
Due to the current political situation, conservatives might not be in mood of electing more RINOs.

61% polled were Rat. 39% were Republican. Tends to throw the poll into the biased column just a bit.

No I think they oversampled Democrats in the poll.

The registration balance used in the poll is accurate. Oklahoma has more Tory Dems than most any other state in the nation these days. It party is due to the fact that the Tory Dems have not been estranged by a liberal takeover of their party, and there is not a critical mass of ethnic groups to generate an action, reaction, mechanism.

Yes but they didn't include any Independents, and Indy's in OK trend R these days.
I think it is a psyops poll.
