According to a new poll, only 15 per cent of us would vote for the President

There were 4 beachheads on Normandy. We, with less than 1/10th of your population were one of them. We were with you in Korea. Today, sadly there are too many Democrats here.

You have to understand, We are just like the Democrat northern states. All the main newspapers are like The NYT. Our national broadcst network is left of NPR/ public television down there. All cable system and almost every home gets ABC/NBC/CBS/PBS. It is illegal in Canada to rebroadcast FOX News and Dr. Laura. We are just a little more advanced in our depravity than the Democrat states.

Yes, isn't this the same country that said the Bible was hate speech for saying homosexuality was an abomination...
But the koran that says to kill all nonbelievers is apparently OOOTAY?

Right. Speaking of scoreboard, the last time anybody up north won the cup was in 1993 - the Montreal Canadiens. Could that have something to do with it?
How many more teams (moving south), how many more years without the cup???

We came across one of these weenies at a youth hostel near Dornoch, Scotland. My friend was talking to this weenie, when he casually asked the weenie where in the states he was from. The weenie went into a smug, tiresome solioquoy about Bush, our evil empire, etc. The weenie was going on about how the Scots hate Americans, blah, blah, blah, when my friend interjected, "At least we have the 2nd Amendment, so if a hoser like you steps on my property, I can shoot him,eh." His moral superiority was shattered when the weenie realized there was a group of about 12 Scottish treckers who had witnessed the whole thing and were now pointing fingers and tittering at HIM.

They just want us to be the same LOSERS that they are.
Take off, you hosers.

Bill, it kills me to see this stuff! I am old enough to remember when the American image of a Canuck was that of a rugged, tough, resourceful man, a hockey player or a lumberjack, a Mountie or a trapper, and if you gave him any sh!t, you'd "get a right good thumpin', by Jesus!" With 1/10 of our population, the RCN and its Corvettes kept the North Atlantic free for four years in the worst weather. There was Normandy and beyond, of course, and a lot of people have forgotten that following VE-day, the RCAF was the second-biggest NATO air force in Europe for the next few years!
So... what happened? And how can we not make the same mistakes?

Well, as far as I can remember Canadians have hated "Americans". Funny that they are now trying to blame their hate on George Bush.
Fortunately, Americans do not hate Canadians. We have taken the high road. We love our neighbors and are kind to them.

Fortunately, Americans do not hate Canadians. We have taken the high road. We love our neighbors and are kind to them. You sure wouldn't Know it by all the vitrolic tripe posted on this board.
What right do you have calling Canadians cowards. Why would you say Canadians hate Americans, when 911 happened, Canada landed lots of US passenger jets that you wouldn't land.
How may of these passengers were taken into Canadian homes and taken care of like family?.There were a lot of Canadians killed in 911. There were millions of $$$ sent to the first responders fund.
It is sad that two countries, who are each others largest trading partners, have not had a gun on 5000 miles of border for years, cannot get over this childish bickering of what we think of you. From this board I would say the hate comes a lot more from S. to N., than from N.to S.
We fought side by side from 1939 to 1945.
We have got to be more positive with each other.
Thanks for listening to this rant. Regards

A poll was taken of Canadians as to who they would vote for President of the United States?

Reminds me of one scene from one of the old Police Academy movies:
He: "Nice beaver..."
She: "Yes, I just had it stuffed yesterday."

I have lived overseas with Canadians. Great people. However, they did have an attitude towards Americans.
I have never once heard an American say they hated Canada or the Canadian people. After articles like this, things could change. I hope not. Just because Canadians hate Americans is no reason for us to respond in hate.
