What is important is your spirit, and yours seems quite beautiful. Stay true to yourself and to the morals your parents taught you.
(That was awful esoteric. I'm not sure, do we sing kumbaya now?)

Sorry to hear about the incident (full moon?), but be thankful for FR for allowing you a place to air it out. Mean people really do suck. I'm very non-confrontational, in fact I steer clear of them. But being a 6'1" 240# former bodybuilder, not that many people even think of getting in my face. When it does happen, I kill 'em with kindness, which serves my purpose of pissing them off even more. Chin up, it's Friday. Have a great weekend!

I am in debt to FR for allowing me to express my opinions on news and politics, as well have at my fingertips, a sounding board/willing ear of wonderful, intelligent people. I certainly WILL have a good weekend thanks to Free Republic.

Why do these people obsess over baked goods? As one who has been called 'oreo' a few times myself, I have to say that has got to be one of the funniest lines I've seen in a long time.

I have American culture ... as taught to me by example from two of the most honorable people to walk the face of the earth.I love the way you talk about your parents!
Personally, I'd love to walk into a health food store and hear Rush or at least not be confronted by 'wage peace' and 'impeach bush' signs...
To: radiohead
thanks a lot... I am in awer of my mom and dad, my two heroes and role models. You will NEVER get any of that waging peace lefty crap from me LOL

Don't worry - putting GLOW and Queen Kong on your profile page ensures that you're 10x cooler than any liberal weenie!
To: GodBlessRonaldReagan

Its amazing that the preachers of tolerance can be so intolerant of people they dont agree with. I too come from a family with high moral values. My father was a Lutheran minister and my mom always taught me (or tried to) when I was young to treat my adversaries with kindness so as to work on their consciences.
At that time, it was hard for me to comprehend but as I got older I could see the wisdom in that approach. OTOH my dad would have probably wished sometimes that I would be the crap out of them. LOL
Keep the faith.

Heheheh! You just gave me an idea. After my mom died I had to go through all of her "stuff." Most of it was good stuff, but then I found a collection of seven troll dolls! What WAS she thinking?!?!
I'll have to introduce them to Oreo. Thanks for reminding me!

Oh yes the proverb about heaping coals of shame on your opponents head to give them severe guilt that will make them realize the error of their ways.
I suppose it's better to be nice but sometimes I just want to give some people in shot in the head! LOL

Sometimes words can be much more effective than physical actions, especially when one is dealing with a vulgar and limited vocabulary.

The customer was a jerk. But, this is a place of business you're listening to the radio at, and you can't expect that all your customers will have your tastes in talk radio.

You're right. LOL I love it when being nice makes people even more annoyed. A curious phenomena IMHO.
