It’s amazing that the preachers of tolerance can be so intolerant of people they don’t agree with. I too come from a family with high moral values. My father was a Lutheran minister and my mom always taught me (or tried to) when I was young to treat my adversaries with kindness so as to work on their consciences.

At that time, it was hard for me to comprehend but as I got older I could see the wisdom in that approach. OTOH my dad would have probably wished sometimes that I would be the crap out of them. LOL

Oh yes the proverb about heaping coals of shame on your opponents head to give them severe guilt that will make them realize the error of their ways.

I suppose it's better to be nice but sometimes I just want to give some people in shot in the head! LOL
