I had been encouraging "innocent until proven guilty" on another thread. That's a good principle. But after examining the evidence, it looks like the guy they have in custody is the guy who did it. If this were my daughter, I'd willingly remove this guy from the land of the living, even if it meant my going to prison for it. Or at least I'd try.

The judicial system is responsible for treating this man as innocent until proven guilty. We have no such obligation and is the reason why I suspect your pleas weren't met with much cooperation. As for me, I wildly sling opinions from the hip all the time.
I'm still shaking my head at no Amber Alert and the judge who passed over a violent felon's parole violation. I would do everything in my power to mete out some justice to this guy, especially in light of the government's failure to do so.
