[history]
Growing frustration over President Bush's immigration plan and lack of fiscal discipline came to a head behind closed doors at last weekend's Republican retreat in Philadelphia.
House lawmakers, stunned by the intensity of their constituents' displeasure at some of Mr. Bush's key domestic policies, gave his political strategist Karl Rove an earful behind closed doors.

It just might cost the president the election though and that would NOT " send a message" nor " teach a lesson " to anyone at all!
If such a thing did cost the President his reelection, then you would be correct, because it would mean that President Bush did not learn the lesson of 1992. Voters are stiff-necked and ornery, and if they get the feeling a candidate takes them for granted, they're perfectly capable of telling that candidate to take a walk. You might not like it, and I might not like it, but there it is.

I'm a fighter, but I'm also pragmatic. :-)IMO, the pragmatic thing to do would be to stop YELLING at someone who's already said several times, once on this very thread, that he's voting for Bush.

I was right here in '98 and was watching the MfJ, from a hospital bed, waving an American flag, cheering all of you on. I had planned on going, but.............

Pay that junk no mind.An awful lot of people here, neither understand politics, nor know that the president has said, repeatedly that he's NOT replacing Cheney.

It was the way they were salivating at the prospect that bothered me. Not the possibility that Bush would actually do it.

Since I don't know what Haldol is, I can't have run out of it. Haves YOU run out of your supply, or just run out of any other form of refutation, other than insult and personal attack ?
