I read a couple versions of this earlier, and as I want to get back to Google searches did not reread it.

When I read it, it appeared that the satellite was the reason that it did not fire.

I laughed and assumed that the U.S. quietly showed them that we could stop his missiles, and he can go and cry in the corner. (At least I do hope this was the real scene.)

Yesterday, he was moaning the lost of the "old communist Russia and his KGB, that worked in the old style.

I do hope that Korea, China, Cuba and the other communist countries were watching the show and they now know that we can and will stop them.

Do I think that we can do it, yes, I do.........

Maybe 5 or 6 years ago, Art Bell was in the middle of an interview with a man on the phone, the man was telling some big secrets about the gov.

All of a sudden "Dead Air" and then a replay from the main board of the radio company.

When Art came back on, after a frantic attempt to find the problem, it turned out that the satellite had been fried in the very spot that Art's program was bouncing off and back to us.

It was on the news the next day, the first time it had ever happened.

It may have been that something was beamed to the satellite and killed that cell, therefore the missiles to not get the message to explode.

Is it the "Lassic Beam", the name escapes me and it shouldn't, as it was used to make land levelers for large farms in the 1970's, Bob Otondo was manufacturing them in Wellton and he first explained the beam of light to me.

Not surprising that I can't think of the name, it has only been 25 years, since I tried to talk about it. But do know we have weapons being invented that uses it.

Lassic is part of the eye surgery, but I think it may be the same type of beam.

Putin pic, leaving the submarine. Not looking too happy, I might add:

I saw the comments about Putin lamenting on the good old KGB days and thought there's no need to lament> Didn't KGB just change names to FSB? LOL. Different name, same old, same old.

I never heard that story about Art Bell, what a hoot!

The beams target with great accuracy.

Right Mr. Putin?

I remember that very well! I was working the graveyard shift at the time and I would listen to Art during my "lunch" break. I heard the whole thing as it went down. It scared the bejebus out of me. The caller was very convincing, he sounded like he had seen some whacked out stuff and his mind had shattered. Like something straight out of The X Files. Then when the satellite was knocked out, it blew my mind.

At the risk of ruining people with my devil music, there is a rock band called Tool that has that call on their latest album, mixed with some freaky synthesizer effects. They did a great job of making the call even scarier. Get the lyrics/transcript here, scroll down to track 13, "Faaip de Oiad".

I guess the guy called back a few days later to admit it was a hoax. A very convincing hoax; that guy should win an Oscar for his performance.

< tinfoil> Or maybe they got to him and made him say it was a hoax??? </tinfoil>
LOL!
