I'd say it fits in well with the Leftist objective of redefining language to serve their ends.
Leftist speak vs real meaning
Extremist = Conservative
Moderate = Left wing
Fascist = Right wing
Progressive = Fascist
Idealist = Communist
and now;
United nation = Nation with a leftist power plurality
Divided nation = Nation were leftist don't always get their way
Oppressed nation = Nation with a conservative power plurality.

The harangue about division means there should be only one voice --theirs.

Good article, thanks. The 2004 Democrat utopian agenda can best be summed up as, "Aim for mediocrity, it's only fair."

Leftist speak vs real meaningNegative campaigning - My opponent talking about me!
Special interests - My opponent's supporters.

Americans are divided because they disagree with each other. That is the American constant, and it doesn't bother me in the least. Thank you for this ping.
Thank God for debate
where the wrestlers irate
can deride or divide all they want,
'Cause the option is clear...
(which the liberals fear)
So they'll always continue to taunt.
Their minions encourage
a surge to discourage
conservative trust in our gov.
They want to devide us and so they deride us...
Pretending to be what we love.

"No Child Permitted to be Ahead" Isn't that the truth? All one needs to ask is, which side supports our true individuality and worth?

All one needs to ask is, which side supports our true individuality and worth?That's going a bit far....but asking "Which side harms it the least?" is a reasonable question.
The only way to prevent a child from being "left behind" is to prevent all other children from advancing faster than the slowest child!
To: Onelifetogive
That's going a bit far LOL You think so?
....but asking "Which side harms it the least?" is a reasonable question.
Fair enough ;-)

The New York Draft Riots, for example, featured mobs of 50,000 ticked-off New Yorkers and Irish immigrants who burned big chunks of the city over three days and hanged a lot of black people from street lights. I know the Florida recount was a big deal and all, but let's get a little perspective.Good point. I think that Jonah is often pretty close to Mark Steyn in his ability to hammer home a point with humor.

But where's he going to put up the other 269,999,990 allegedly underprivileged peeps? LOL!

I got really tired during the Clintler years of all those people who tried to defend the Rapist by reminding me that he "wants to bring everybody together"...come back, good buddy? I guess that in the mind of some "bringing people together" really means "claiming to be a friend of minority groups and appearing at their churches so the whole country can see it"...and does "bringing everybody together" mean "bringing the rich folks together with the poor ones" too? Or just continuing to keep the rich as the undeserving whipping boys and girls?
Because of the rosy glow that the biased media put on his every move, Clintler could engage in all manner of silly, superficial symbolism that was supposed to somehow indicate his intentions for causing national harmony, not his actions, which did everything possible to destroy it.
In actual fact, Clinton did everything he possibly could to Balkanize this country and accentuate the differences between people through a divide-and-conquer strategy that helped distract the country from the gutteral stink of his scandal-a-day administration.
Mr. Edwards, you say you're tired of two Americas? So am I. I'm tired of the Demoncrat/Demogogue/Elitist/Opportunist/Politician-Entertainer Breck Girl over Inferior Flyover Country Royal America you live in trying to beat down and erase the more sensible, realistic, non-blow dried, non-Hollywood Goodtime America that REALLY is our source of survival.
This is all tired talk from New Deal/Hippy Days/Clintlerworld eras, and it comes from people who practice theft by taxation, promote class warfare, and steal with the stroke of a legislative pen.

I'm glad somebody's called Dean on his nonsense about the 1960s being a time of great unity.
