[Thanks for the boilerplate; I adapted it a bit to my situation and e-mailed it to Costco:]
Please pass the word along to the corporate department that, because of the donation of $95,000 by each of Mr. Brotman and Mr. Sinegal to a political fund that aims to defeat President Bush in the November election, Costco has forfeited any chance of getting business from my family and me.
I will not spend $95,000 per year in Costco-related purchases...but over time, I will. None of it will go to Costco. My family and I were considering switching from Sam's Club to Costco, but will not subsidize a campaign of lies against President Bush.
You can also let them know President Bush is doing a fine job, and those of us who believe he is leading us in a war against terrorism believe he is a better Commander in Chief than any of his opponents.

Based on the reaction on this thread, methinks this could be a Dixie Chicks redux if word gets out--and it will. Hehehehe.....

Call them at the 800 number at posting further on down, give them your old memebership number and tell them you were going to re-new, but not now thanks to their actions. Ask that the conversation be monitored and recorded as I did at post #38

But here's the catcher:
1. Wal-Mart elected Hillary Clinton to their Board of Directors, AND she left only because of Bill's election as President.
2. The Pride Foundation owns a considerable stake in the firm and has hijacked corporate policy.
Both Sam's and Costco have hijackings of Seattle written across their firms.
If you're a shareholder of COST, then file a formal complaint with the company.

I just passed the article on to the editor of the San Diego Republican newsletter. I'm sure it will get some visibility from there!
Glad to do my part . . .

I already emailed them. The next time we receive one of their email ads, I will write them again. and again.

No offense, but I would assume Wal-Mart being in Arkansas would mean the company is covering themselves by having Hillary on their board. Were they in another state they probably would not have considered her.

Ewwww.LOL! Here. Have a second look at the October 2003 Keynote Speaker for Costco's Scholarship Fund. Do it, for the chilllllllllllllrun.

I also sent the article to Roger Hedgecock. Perhaps he'll mention it in today's broadcast.

I purchased an expensive brand name watch as a gift for a Policeman buddy of mine at Costco.
It need service, and my bud took it in to the local "Authorized Service Center," in uniform. They wanted to seize the watch because it had the serial numbers filed off.
We were not amused.
Much of the formerly high quality items offered there have devolved into last year's models and Closeouts you don't know about yet.
The only thing I miss is the deals on coffee, which with my heart I shouldn't be drinking anyway.

ok. so, go ahead and post the rest of 'em. We would have cancelled our membership two years ago if I had seen the website.

Based on the reaction on this thread, methinks this could be a Dixie Chicks redux if word gets out--and it will. Hehehehe.....Some companies actually pay a little attention. Grant's Appliance had been sponsoring a Leftist Ladies Lecture Series (See Leftist ladies in lockstep: How unique
I received an email from Grant's which says in part:
"We at Grants are always trying to serve our customers and have recently looked for ways to better serve our female customers. We were presented this series as a promotion that was a way to reach our female customers but were not presented the full context of this series. We have recently withdrawn as a sponsor of this lecture series."
Letting companies know they'll lose customers because of their Leftist ways apparently gets their attention in some instances.
