Man Pleads Guilty in Molestation of 8-Year-Old (8 yo pregnant)

A Queens sock vendor pleaded guilty yesterday to molesting and impregnating his girlfriend's 8-year-old daughter and faces 20 years in prison, prosecutors said.

Chancellor Drayton, 44, of 4-21 27th Ave. in Astoria, was charged with first-degree rape, police said, after the girl's grandmother found a "Dear Dad" love letter in which the child wrote that she enjoyed having sex with him and added, "I want to marry you." The girl's mother, a Fort Greene resident, contacted police, and tests showed that her daughter was 15 weeks pregnant.

At the mother's request, an abortion was performed and police arrested Drayton two weeks later. Prosecutors contended that he had sex with the girl at least four times between Dec. 2001 and Oct. 30, 2002 - usually while the mother, a student at Baruch College, was running errands.

most likely it was an endocrine disorder such as CPP-Central Precocious Puberty, or another hormonal issue vs "she just started early".

No doubt you're correct. My remark was simply meant to point out that these things can happen at very early ages, whether or not they're "normal."

Antoher theory is due to eating more meat that has been treated with growth hormones, which causes faster maturation.

There's also evidence to the effect that, statistically speaking, girls who grow up in a household with their biological fathers reach puberty later than those who grow up with a single mother or stepfather.

Probably it's a mix of a lot of things, with "more fat in the diet, and being heavier" being my guess as to the leading factor.

Just more anecdotal evidence; my sister was 10 years old at onset of menses, this was in 1977. I think it is/was a glandular problem.

Wow, I didn't realize that. That SOB needs to be shot for what he did and then to father a child of an 8 year old, well all I can say is unbelievable & sad.

Stories like this make me concerned for my 15yr old daughter as well, but you can't live your life being afraid either. By the way kids are an exhilirating, frightening & yet great experience. I highly recommend it.

By the way I hope they fry his sorry butt, nobody should hurt a child like that. As a father of two I hurt so much for the family of this Brucia girl that was found dead this morning, he most definately deserves to be electrocuted.

I woke up to that bad news. How sad walking home from a friend's house... I can't imagine what her parents are going through at this time. You're a father of two? I think fathers' of young girls want to put a cap or two in this guy's head.
