If everyone used Spybot, we wouldn't need these articles.

I had to send my computer to the doctor because of this Spyware that invaded my computer without my knowing it. It completely screwed my puter' up. These guys that do this should be castrated with a dull knife or if its a woman have their nipples cut out. I felt as if I had been robbed because they invaded my computer without my permission.

Spyboy is awesome! If I ever become rich, I owe them a goodly donation for all the problems they've helped me fix on various computers over the last few years.

Spybot Search & Destroy is the best. End of story.

These programs are a form of breaking and entering, and all those involved with developing and distributing them, as well as those advertising through them, are members of criminal conspiracies to break and enter. Long prison terms are the correct method to deal with such criminal conspiracies.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist. This has been going on for several years now.

The boom in spyware, adware and other PC hijackers has led to increasing calls for regulation from lawmakers, including presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., and from public-interest groups. If Edwards were an effective Senator, couldn't he have actually done something about spyware viruses on Algore's internet?
The president doesn't write legislation; if Edwards can't get it done before he "is" elected President then his "me too, me too" claims of opposing spyware are for nothing.

Simple way for Windows users to block 99% of spyware (technically known as "third party cookies"):
In Internet Explorer, goto Tools, Options, Privacy tab, Advanced, select Override then Block all third party cookies.
You'll need adaware or spybot to remove whatever spyware may have already been installed to this point, but after the change above your scans should continue to come up clean.

My advice would be to not listen to anything on this thread. Thanks, guys, I spent $39.95 at Spybot (spykiller) and got totally ripped off.
