GUYTON, Georgia (AP) -- A high school senior's choice for a work-study job was a little too racy in the eyes of her superintendent.
Laura Williams, 17, took a job about a month ago as a hostess at a Hooters restaurant, the national chain known for its scantily clad waitresses.

How else do they train those people who perform at Super Bowl Halftime shows?
All joking aside, it sounds like the school screwed this one up. She already had a job, under the program, that she was told to quit.

Earlier in the school year, Laura Williams got a job cleaning homes and businesses, but was encouraged by a school adviser to find a job where her performance could be better monitored, her father said. Well, she'll certainly be monitored there. :)
Hope she tells the school to go piss up a rope.

That's what the hostesses wear, not the waitresses.

I remember when by sons were small boys we would stop at the Hooters that had a deck over the Cumberland River (Nashville). They LOVED going there not because of the waitresses but because the waitresses brought them cold curly fries to feed to the turtles. Now THAT was cool!

She should've gotten a job at an abortion clinic.

Wait, you earn high school credit for learning how to be a hostess at a restaurant? Guys, come on. I wouldn't care if it was Peter Luger's Steakhouse, vocational training is for fixing cars or building houses or some other skilled or semiskilled trade, not seating customers.

"Superintendent Michael Moore"
So now he is a superintendent, does he do this when he is not making movies?
""I have questions in my mind because of the advertising and sexual connotations," Moore said"..."the national chain known for its scantily clad waitresses."
But they could care less about how scantily clad kids are nowadays or the sexual connotations of music videos, etc. lately. To quote John Stossel "Give me a break."

Exactly my thoughts. How would they have graded her if she had gone four weeks without a job?

TYPOS CORRECTED: Personally, I wouldn't mind if either of my teenaged daughters got jobs at Hooters.
The clothes are nothing skimpier than what girls wear to the beach and any cute female waitress/bartender at any establishment is potentially subject to ogling and flirting. At least at Hooters, from what I understand, they have some serious bouncers to protect the girls.
They're probably safer at Hooters than working at the local ice cream shop.
