First they rename the arenas, now comes everything else.

Gee, we're following in the footsteps of Comrade Castro - renaming everything. He did the same when he took over Cuba.
America or Amerika?

Berkeley?
I'd suspect the following will be among the submissions:
Mumia Elementary
Tupac Shakur Country Day School
Leonard Peltier School
Jane Fonda Learning Center
Oprah-Streisand-Rosie Academy
Little RED Schoolhouse....

These people are allowed to vote in national elections, folks. Be very afraid. Anyone who wants to change the name of a school because framers held slaves has no business anywhere near a school, much less teaching or position of authority. "Liberals" are always smug in their belief of self-superiority, but the truth is they are morons.

Its an emotional minefield for students, said Jefferson first grade teacher Marguerite Talley-Hughes, who along with parents and fellow teachers initiated the effort last spring to rename the school so it wouldnt bear the mark of a slaveholder. Absolutely infuriating. These types of people will gladly kill this country in the name of political correctness and their idiotic dreams for a socialist utopia.

This must be in a teacher manual. The leftist teachers have their students do the same project about the face on the $20 bill.
This is just proof that teacher unions are socialist tools.

I suggest "Simple Simon Elementary" as indicative of the amount of learning that transpires within those hallowed wall. Linda Safarik-Tong sounds like a Star Wars character, so I guesss "Chewbacca Elementary" should also be in the running. Changing Abraham Lincoln to Malcolm X is okay -- at least they didn't name it John Wilkes Booth. Berkeley must be such a wonderful, sanctified place to be able to dis Thomas Jefferson like this.

1) First of all, let's be careful not to mention the issue of slavery that still exists in the motherland'. These people are stupid.
2) Second of all, let's erase slavery from our history -- nevermind that this is the man who wrote our Declaration of Independence. What has Ferrycan or Sharpton or Jackson written?
3) Once we have slavery erased, let's ask for reparations.
I was beat up three times for being white while I was growing up in Detroit. These ANIMALS don't deserve to voice their opinion to me.

Here in West Palm Beach, FL some intolerant leftist are trying to remove the name of a middle school named Jefferson Davis Middle School.
To: againstallhope
This is just one more example of the Left's ongoing war against everything American. It is not surprising, considering the venue. But to understand and put the attack on Jefferson into context, see
Civil War, Reconstruction & Creating Hate In America Today.
Were I in Congress, I would introduce riders onto all sorts of Federal Appropriation Bills, excluding Berkeley from any Federal Funds. Contributing to that place would be like funding Havana under Castro.

Perhaps they should also shed the benefits and rights as a citizen of the US. After all they wouldn't want the "mark" of a nation created by slaveholders on them now would they.

Tell the parents the school was named after the The Jeffersons, and the whole controversy will disappear in a second.

Well another generation of "lost souls" are being raised in Berkeley. I am sure these moronic parents are probably spending hours trying to persuade a bunch of elementary school kids to vote to change the name. Why are they letting the kids vote, actually they probably have more sense than the adults.
