So how long do you think it will be before the conspiracy theorists decide the president will declare war on her?

According to Letourneau, she returned home Monday to find that an inch of raw crude oil had seeped up from the ground and into her home.

Seeped? That's good - NO FLOOD FOR OIL!

I wonder where those environmental weenies are now. Shouldn't this become the next Love Canal? There should be a multi-billion dollar clean up of her neighborhood... </sarcasm>

Wasn't there an episode of Beavis and Butthead where they thought they struck oil but really hit the sewer line?

The patriarch of the Letourneau family is famous for the giant earth moving equipment sold world wide -- his designs are carried forward in many modern machines. He was a self taught designer and engineer.

He started a technical college in Longview TX name after him. I suspect this lady owns many "jumping jacks" (oil wells)! The good thing is that she probably also owns the mineral rights to the land her house sits on.

You'd be surprised. I most areas that have been properly explored for minerals resources, properties in residential home developments are sold with only minimal rights, and rates of payment already negotiated.

I grew up in a residential tract in the the foothills above Los Angeles (Granada Hills), and our home was apparently sitting on some oil and natural gas. My dad used to show me the small checks he would get once a year.

Don't miss the oily house tour!

BTW, she should go into town and get a facial, and perhaps buy some nice dresses at Bloomingdales, and oh, hire a decorator quick 'cause...

Ms. LeTourneau is the granddaughter of R.G. LeTourneau, the man to which you refer. She works as a nurse.
