Had you heard of the "sine die" issue and Lincoln's EO's? It's not info that's easily found...requires a lot of digging. Also, what's your take on the 14th Amendment...lots of discussion out there that it helped to undermine our citizenship rights.

Several years ago on a 14th Amendment thread, a FReeper said that the 14th Amendment introduced Roman Law into the Constitution for the first time. (I don't know if that's true or not.) It certainly has been a source of mischief on the part of the courts.
