The party who best enables liberals is the Republican Party.

Nope, it's the Perpetually Disgruntled and Eternally Disenchanted on the right who put ideology ahead of country and party, as you know.

Nope, it's the leftist Republicans who run the party and who value power more than their country. As you know.

I was a big Bush supporter. I even tried to teach my oldest son to say "God Bless George Bush" which would have sent screams of terror down the backs of my liberal mother-in-law and sister-in-law.

I looked at what was happening with education, medicare and many other spending programs. I looked on with dismay as time and time again, Bush went further and further to the left. All the while, I was hearing "It's a strategy" from you Bushbots. Eventually you stop giving up ground and start taking some. And all Bush seems to want to do is push an agenda of more and more government, and the Republicans are blindly following. Eventually, I had no choice. I stayed put with my beliefs. And yes, despite your request for a barf alert, my party DID leave me behind.

Does this mean I will root for Kerry? No. I will cheer Bush when he wins. I will cheer each Republican victory this year. The reason? That's one less spot the Democrats have a stranglehold. But, I will STILL work within the framework to try to get a good party going that will be conservative and will bring about positive change. If they fall trap to the power seduction, I will start again.

Does this make me part of the "Perpetually Disgruntled and Eternally Disenchanted"? If so, then sign me up, because I'm disgruntled at the way our President has built our government bigger every step of the way. I'm disenchatned by the way that Bush has abandoned conservative principles to let the illegal immigrants in.

And I don't put ideology ahead of country and party. I put country ahead of ideology and party. I put my family and my God above party and ideology. And my party reflects my ideology, so I put them on par.

Paul
