Pro-Life Friends,
The only reason this is gaining Momentum is because of the many GREAT Pro-Life Freepers who signed the petition. YOU GOT THIS BALL ROLLING. It IS picking up speed! May God bless each and every one of you.
To those just seeing this news, please sign the Petition to Georgetown University: Stop Aborted Fetal Cell Line Research
In closing I have to say that whatever the outcome of this, Freepers are the Greatest, and are True Patriots--spoken of by the man who wrote the following:
"In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot." ~Mark Twain, Notebook, 1935

Please let me know if you want on or off my Pro-Life Ping List.

"I understand the great temptations of health benefit potentials, grants and needing researchers,
but the ends do not justify the means," she said. We all learned that at Jesuit institutions in days gone by
(when the Society of Jesus was still a "Catholic" order).
Ignatius, where have they gone?

Check this out. This never would have happened before Vatican II.

Yep, could they at least provide a grave of some sort for those lost lambs before using their bodies. Frankly, I have nothing against organ usage so long as dignity and respect is maintained..... but, then again, even so, my point of view is that the foetus tissue research should only be earmarked to benefit innocent children like them by law, and not monster hollywood freaks or Michael Jacksons sickly seeking longevity cures.

A memorial Mass should be said for the victims (and prayers offered for the mothers). And whatever is left should be buried.
What you have here, unfortunately and tragically, is the Frankenstein situation of continuing to breed cells which derive from abortions. The aborted victims were not asked to donate their bodies for research (obviously impossible) so this is grossly immoral and wrong. It should be illegal to use anyone's body for scientific research who did not sign a consent form for donation. By the way, this phenomenon of allowing Motor Vehicles Administrations to handle organ donation issues is wacko.
