Hey, you got a point ~ let's go get a boat and some Viet Cong and do it again ~ the right way this time, eh?!

Look, the guy's got baggage in fighting the Cold War. He's got baggage in his post Viet Nam War anti-war activities, and he's got baggage in the way he got into the military ~~ at the time enlistment in the Navy or Air Force was tantamount to draftdodging.

But when it comes to doing what he was supposed to do while in the service, his record looks pretty normal.

I was just questioning his judgment .. But you made your point, I wasn't there ..

Anyhow, his record while he was in elected office is enough to prove he has poor judgment on the issue of our national security

Well, I don't know about that.

Three "wounds" that resulted in a grand total of two (2) entire days in Sick Bay resulted in three Purple Hearts which in turn resulted in his request, which was granted, to cut his combat tour by six months.

How many Vietnam vets who did not date Jakie Kennedy's half-sister got that kind of a deal?

Boston Globe, 6/16/2003: .........Along with Kerry's unquestionable and repeated bravery, he also took an action that has received far less notice: He requested and was granted a transfer out of Vietnam six months before his combat tour was slated to end on the grounds that he had earned three Purple Hearts. None of his wounds was disabling; he said one cost him two days of service and the other two did not lead to any absence. .........The bottom line is that Kerry could have remained but he chose to seek an early transfer.
