Let Us Unite Behind President Bush ( A Plea Message to all Freepers)
FE/2/04 | JVERITAS

Posted on 02/02/2004 1:48:11 PM PST by jveritas

Dear Freepers

In this crucial election year, we are seeing that some conservatives are irresponsibly attacking President Bush in very aggressive way. By doing so, they are helping the Democrats and this is not acceptable at all. In this crucial time of our history, where we are fighting the war on terror, it is extremely important that we stay firmly united behind President Bush. We simply cannot afford as a nation to have a Democrat in the White House, it will be a disaster for America. Thus, I would like to ask you my friends who love President Bush and want to see him re-elected to stop attacking him and think about the big picture. Also, I would like to ask you to personally send e-mails to any conservative journalist, radio host, or TV host who is attacking President Bush or harshly criticizing him and ask them not to do so. I already e-mailed Mr. Joe Scarborough from MSNBC asking him to stop attacking President Bush as he has been doing lately. I send an e-mail to Mr. Bob Novak asking him to tell the truth about the ultra left liberal John Kerry rather than put down President Bush as he did in his latest articles. I sent an e-mail to NewsMax asking them to retrieve my name from their e-mail news alert list because I disagree with the way they are attacking President Bush lately. Any article posted on Free Republic and that is bashing President Bush for not being “conservative enough” should not get any traction or responses. If we do not respond to them, then they will eventually stop posting such irresponsible articles. We must work hard in toning down the rhetoric of some of our conservative friends. We love them very much, we respect them very much, but their anger is hurting us all in this crucial election year. Please let us do so, for the sake of this great nation.

Sincerely yours; JVERITAS

Hopefully it is a done deal now. This was a couple months ago, they were showing Senate hearings on C-SPAN and they were questioning Myers about why everyone didn't have the Interceptor vests. He acknowledged that everyone didn't have them, but said they would by February.

I strongly dislike extremely long posts. People stop reading them, as I'm sure you're aware.

How do you make all these intelligent responses if you can't read the article? If your attention span isn't capable of reading long posts ...the answer is easy.....ignore them.

That's ALL you have? Principled? Fight the good fight? Vote your conscience?

Someone like you relegating concepts like principle and conscience to the status of yesterday's garbage.

I'm not surprised in the least.

I didn't say I couldn't read it. I said people get bored. People are more likely to understand your point if you keep it short and simple.

Well .. This was not General Myers (Air Force uniform) who I saw. I saw an Army General in a Green uniform. I know who General Myers is and this guy was a head shorter and probably 100 pounds plumper, and the hearing I saw was just this past week.

When a response has more than one point to cover they are not short and never will be. Sorry 'bout that.

Aha! Then you didn't catch what I was saying, did you?

MY beliefs regarding reelecting President Bush are based on those thoughts...yet for me, it's wrong.

For YOU it's right to vote YOUR conscience, etc.

You folks can not have it both ways.

"President Bush has done more than any other person to make sure that we are as safe as humanly possible."

Have you noticed that 2500+ people every night are coming from Mexico into Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas? How many of these people are terroists?

When that stops then I'll give your emotional rant some thought.

President Bush IS doing everything he can to make the US as safe as possible. I do agree that immigration is a problem, and I don't know if he does have the right solution.

HOWEVER, the terrorists of 9/11, the 1993 WTC bombing, those who bombed the Cole, and countless events overseas, were NOT from Mexico, they were from Saudi Arabia and other Mideast countries.

YES, many of them were in the US illegally, but they were NOT from Mexico. Give the guy--the president--a break! He can't do EVERYTHING at once! Seems we've caught quite a few potential terrorist attacks just recently, and prevented them by barring certain airline flights.

He's made the commitment to work on the immigration problem; I haven't seen a president do that for quite some time. No, his solutions might not be perfect, but at least he's trying.

The republican party has nothing to do with principle.

Therefore your support of it cannot be based on principle.

Which of the two main parties supports abortion on demand?

Assuming you feel that abortion is a moral issue, of course. If you don't, don't waste finger-power in answering me.
