I really can't give you any comforting words of my own. Luckily, I don't have to:

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5:6-11)

No matter what happens, Rachel, it will be OK. God will make it OK -- forever.

As a matter of fact, I my OB-oncologist is one of two at the Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee), which is part of the Froedert Hospital assemblage, or whatever you call it. My OB-GYN referred me to him immediately saying that he was relatively new to Milwaukee, but was a specialist in his field (Harvard Medical). He was in a meeting with the oncology staff Thurs. morning prior to meeting with us, and they pretty much drew up blanks on recommended treatment. Talk about boldy going where no man has gone before.... He'll be doing research this week, and I told him that I counted on his referral to experts or those more learned in this area than he, which I believe his cancer is female reproductive related, and this cancer is not that.
