MTV Not Satisfied With Pushing Smut on Their Own Channel, Now They Corrupt the Super Bowl Says Stand True Ministries

WASHINGTON, Feb. 2 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Following is a statement by Bryan Kemper of Stand True Ministries, founder of idontwantmymtv.com, on yesterday's MTV-produced Super Bowl half- time show:
"Stand True, (http://www.standtrue.com) the host of idontwantmymtv.com, is not surprised or shocked that MTV would produce a show like they did for the Super Bowl. Anyone who watches MTV knows they are nothing more than a porn channel for kids.
"I am thankful that my children were already in bed when the halftime show aired. The songs being sung were bad enough, and then they had to throw in some nudity.
"Most people don't tune into the Super Bowl to hear songs about prostitutes, strippers, drugs and taking off all of our clothes. The Super Bowl is supposed to be a family event, not a late night pay per view event.
"If this is what CBS is going to turn sports into, I will not be watching CBS sports anymore. I already would never let my children watch MTV, but to have to be careful when watching the Super Bowl is extremely upsetting.
"Idontwantmymtv.com encourages people to sign their MTV abstinence pledge, the Super Bowl halftime show is an example of why people are signing and committing to never watch MTV again. MTV, CBS, Janet Jackson, Kid Rock, Nelly, and Justin Timberlake owe the American public a huge apology for their disgusting display and total lack of tact and respect."

Just thinking of the missed opportunity is saddening. They were in Houston on the anniversary of the Columbia. A tribute to Astronauts, or to that crew, would have been much more uplifting.

I can remember when MTV first kicked off in 1980 I believe, it just showed music video's, I thought it was great. Now it's nothing but Rapping Thugs talking about raping women & killing cops. What the hell happened?

The people in charge of MTV obviously have an agenda and want to corrupt our youth.

"What the hell happened?" It would seem that the black trash element of Hollywood has taken over. Add a token whitey, Timberlake, and they can seem diverse, black AND white trash.

Frankly I didn't bat an eye when the bosom was exposed. It was in keeping with the low-level "art" of the entire halftime show and some of the commercials (Anheuser-Busch's unfunny flatulant horse, comes to mind).
Americans could have exciting, highly artistic, and thrilling music and dancing. It would be fun! Instead, they opt for ugly, tasteless, unimaginative, sleazy trash, of a very low artistic level. That's what they want. That's what they get.
I don't blame people of other countries one bit for not wanting to import this kind of garbage into their homes. I don't either.

The real error by MTV was exposing Janet's breast when most people wanted to see Beyounce's...

Let's be honest. It's likely that you could combine the IQs of Timberlake, Janet Jackson, Brittany, Jessica Simpson, Madonna, Michael Jackson and still not have a high enough number to be considered an idiot.

We don't get the commercials over here--just the game, but I am very glad I missed the scatological horse bit.
Horrible, disgusting, and sick.

Some may see that as a racist comment, but I think that you're absolutely right. Every time I see that channel (which is to often since I have 15 yr. Old & a 19 yr. Old) there is alway's some rapper grabbing his crotch & singing offensive lyrics. Now I try to be logical in my assessments, especially when it concerns racial statements. But it does seem to be a Black driven, accept it whether you like it or not phenomenon because were a Minority and can get away with it. I got to tell you, it doesn't particularly bring this white man any closer to understanding the Black way of life. It simply colors a picture and a way of life that I hope is not real.

Management (CBS, NFL) makes a mistake if they don't hold back part (a big part) of the performers' pay package.
Imagine this old stripper going to court for her pay if CBS decided she reneged on the contract.

One more way for decadent and corrupt H'weirdville pushing their lack of morals and virtues onto the general populace with the help of liberal leftist network CBS and its affiliated MTV. Not too long ago Roseanne played with her crotch during the singing of the national anthem.

What's really scary is that MTV is from whom the 18-26 year olds are getting their political advice.

Thanks the Lord we have Brian Kemper on our side. I've been waiting for him to weigh in.

If you want to look to MTV and general media to learn about the 'black way of life' then you're not learning much.

The horse ad was far from the only one that was in very poor taste. You are lucky if you weren't subjected to them.
The commercials used to be the best part of the Super Bowl because quite often the game is a dull blow-out. After this year, I will flip to the Weather Channel or QVC when the ads come on. And I intend to let CBS and the NFL know that.
