And what Catholic country should America become more like? They're aren't any which are doing too well --- France? Mexico? I'm just pointing out --- you can condemn all you like the Protestant and puritanical values that helped form this country --- but what country holds a candle to this one?

Catholics are becoming a much more powerful force. And apparently only the Catholics that promote nudity and sex on prime time television. We've got to become like France maybe? A Catholic country with nude beaches? Then we'd be cool?

Thank God your type is a disappearing breed, being angry about everything is going out of style and is best left to the last generation... I think about that and smile knowing that my generation will make the rules for the next 40 years.

As I remember, half time was at 9.30. What "little kid" was up at that time anyway. My children are now grown, however when they were school age, their bedtime was between 9-10. Since they had to get up at 7am, that gave them between 9-10 hours sleep.
Exceptions were made, and being a very sports orientented family, they were allowed to stay up later to watch for the Super Bowl each year.
That said, bedtimes are not really the point here. What is the point that the entainment industry is trying to make complete fools out of mainstream American, and think they can get away with it. Hopefully, this time they don't.

Actually it's your favorite teen celebrities that are going out of style --- Timberlake may have made himself cool in your view by ripping off the aging Janet's blouse --- how Catholic!! --- but he's been a has-been for a few years --- my 14 year olds wouldn't be caught dead with one of his CD's. He's already not cool.

I was disgusted by the arrogant stance of many liberals on TV tonight. They kept repeating the same twin mantras:
- It's okay, it's perfectly natural.
- The cat's out of the bag. Just look at cable TV; there's nothing that can or should be done about it.
Okay, let's see if I get the message straight. There's "nothing we can do", and there's "nothing we should do." Hmmm....ok....
$20M fine for CBS!!!
Nothing we can do?! Really?! I say we demand that the FCC hold CBS up and NAIL THEM TO THE CROSS. THEN we'll see if these lefties think there's "nothing that can be done".

I think about that and smile knowing that my generation will make the rules for the next 40 years.Don't get too smug. The young adults in my family that I've talked to about this farce all thought it was disgusting and distateful for a football halftime show when kids could have been watching.
I think that *they*, and other young adults who care about integrity and responsibility, will have a big part in "making the rules".

Well, Viacom may think twice from now on after they get a fine of US$27,500 times circa 220 affiliates and owned & operated stations. This is US$6,050,000, probably one of the biggest fines in history for violating FCC rules on obscenity. They will think many times abvout how to pull a repeat.
Every newspaper I saw & every talk radio show covered this at length. They couldn't buy that kind of publicity for a billion.

Wade said CBS officials attended rehearsals of the halftime show all week, "and there was no indication any such thing would happen.
How about the crotch groping, the bumping and grinding, the talentless has-beens produced by MTV - the sleezy company that gave us the Madonna-Britney lesbo kiss? The flag torn and worn as a poncho? And they didn't see anything amiss during rehearsals??? Musta had some pretty dark sunglasses on... /s

Every newspaper I saw & every talk radio show covered this at length. They couldn't buy that kind of publicity for a billion. I can't see that it's going to help them much. For one for them to go this far, it shows they're a little too desperate for publicity. Seeming very desperate for publicity can be as bad as having no publicity at all. I think this made everyone involved just look pathetic.

Upon reconsideration, I have come to the conclusion that I was wrong. Very wrong. I want to apologize to everyone if I offended you.
Please except my humblest apologies, and God Bless you all!
