HOUSTON, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The tearing of Janet Jackson's costume was unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional and was inconsistent with assurances we had about the content of the performance.
MTV regrets this incident occurred and we apologize to anyone who was offended by it.

I decided the introduction of Janet Jackson was my cue to go throw some darts and grab some muchies.
I'd say darts was a good halftime decision.
(Plus I needed to do something to make sure I stayed awake for the secong half - those 12:25 a.m. start times (Central European Time) are killers.)

If there is one event in sports that is sold as a family affair more than the Super Bowl, I don't know what? Not only was the half time base and inappropriate, America was signaling the world that our " culture" is that of the black ghetto. White youth have been suckered in by big business advertising that this life style is appropriate. We are on a slippery slope. I hope that the producers of this travesty of bad taste suffer, just as many mothers and fathers suffered trying to explain that crap to their children gathered around the TV for good old super bowl entertainment. P.S. The beginning showed class and respect for God, Country and our fallen heroes.

So we have one Jackson boob exposed on TV in Texas...and the other Jackson boob exposed on TV in a Santa Monica courtroom.

It was refreshing to see that one of the last vestiges of family entertainment, sports, was finally killed by the sadomasochistic, bump-and-grind, rear-entrance air intercourse, rapcrap number of the halftime "entertainment". The breast exposure was an anticlimax at best, a shrill conclusion to rape for entertainment at worst.

The video is on the net. It was rehearsed, planned, and discussed before it occurred.
Do you work for CBS? Why do you think it was "unrehearsed" given the vid?

The word is that she wanted to have Michael as the surprise performer and MTV nixed it.

To hell with MTV.
Write your cable company to have it removed from Basic Cable.

The following are Viacom owned companies. Viacom is owned by Sumner Redstone. The fish rots from the head.

Once I saw the lineup for halftime, decided not to even watch. Turned off the TV and did some internet surfing on the PC instead.
No question this was a planned stunt. Hope it backfires on all concerned big time.

I think they're revelling in the outrage of middle Americans and patting themselves on the back for all the free publicity. Ha ha?
What "free" publicity?
I was watching a recorded movie when I wondered what was happening in the superbowl. After a couple of minutes of what seemed unrehearsed chaos, a frenzy of mindless jabbering and still no hint of what the halftime score was, the image of a Michael Jackson wannabe pose in a cage was all it took for me to say "I'm outta here" and went back to my movie.
I missed the planned "shock value". Darn.

Forget about the boob. This "show" was an in-your-face disgrace from start to finish. Absolutely. I'm afraid "The Boob" is going to overshadow the rest of the program, and ultimately be presented as an aberration to an otherwise inoffensive program. The show was a half-hour long assault on the American public. Wake up people.

If it was unplanned, then I think Mr. Timberlake should be charged with sexual assault on poor, innocent Janet Jackson.

Thanks for the list! You know, I didn't know all of those were Viacom, and on my own I had bad relations or reasons not to patronize each one.

And DO complain to your local affiliate who brought this garbage into your home. They will listen and pass it up the food chain if enough people call them.
To: mict42
P.S. The beginning showed class and respect for God, Country and our fallen heroes. True. Except for Aerosmith. But at least they kept it in their pants. This is what the execs get for caving in to the PC crowd. Next year look for someone defecating on stage.
