When the remains of the Pentagon victims from 9/11 were brought to the mortuary at Dover Air Force Base, a big effort was made to keep the media away. I'm sure it was out of respect for the dead and their relatives, but on the whole I suspect it would have been better if the public could have seen the carnage. You can't gloss over or deny reality like that. Eisenhower was wise enough to have the carnage at the Nazi death camps carefully documented on film, and it ought to be the same in these instances.

It may be,but fire is a terrible thing. The carnage from 911 was hidden under thick dust for awhile at the WTC.collapsed buildings, and then there was fire there, too.I don't believe we should forget how difficult some of the pictures would be for the loved ones.

It's less about respect, more about keeping the masses subdued.
Pisses me off actually. We need to see this stuff and be outrage. Look at how people are already not caring about 9/11 anymore.. Mostly cause the shocking stuff was censored. This is at our own peril of course.
