Also, Did anyone get offended when Chris Rock wore a flag by putting a hole in the middle of it. As a Vet I sure did. I'm proud of my flag.

Kid Rock is an unabashed Bush supporter, so he didn't mean any offense by it.

Yup. He should have know better since he was on the USO tour in Iraq. We are in a war, nothing abut our troops, and we get a pierce nipple. Football lost today, this is not going away. Viva Baseball!

That flag was desecrated. I hope someone had the good sense to give it a proper burning and disposal. That whole halftime sho just sucked IMHO...

Actually I didn't. Kid Rock is very supportive of our military men and women.
It might be good that someone let Kid Rock know. I would count if a faux-paus, but I'm not going to hold it against him.
Besides, he substituted his normal lyrics with "I'm proud I'm livin' in the U.S.A.". Most "artists" don't care enough to even say U.S.A., much less make it part of their performance at the Super Bowl.

Did anyone get offended when Chris Rock wore a flag by putting a hole in the middle of itI was for a moment.
So many people do not realize this is an inappropriate way to display our flag.
He is a strong supporter of the troops.
I'm going to let it go as an overzealous and ignorant indiscretion.
To: wattsup
Yes, that bothered me too. He clearly just cut up a flag to make himself a poncho. And then he whipped it off and handed it to one of the other guys who crumpled it up and tossed it on the drum stage. Yuck.

I also saw the flag thing. My take on it is this.., at least his intentions were honorable if not his actions. I'm sure he only meant the best. I also noticed that when he took it off, a band member helped him and handed it back being careful not to let it touch the floor.
Hope you re-look the issue and give him a minor gig on actions and a big thanks for the effort.

I agree, I think it's a terrible to do that. I'm not outraged, but I think Rock is twit.

I was offended at him wearing the flag, and I was offended at him wearing it backwards.
Doesn't it signify retreat when viewed with the blue field of stars on the right?
If it does, I could use your help over on this thread.

I was just embarrassed that Kid Rock was a defacto ambassador for the US to the world. I don't care if he's a Bush fan or not, he's a white trash POS and 1 billion people now think he is the type that supports the war and our president.

Yes - and did you notice that the flag ended up on the floor in a crumpled heap by the drums?
That was the point when I shut the whole disgusting spectacle off...

To: wattsup
Yes,
I am responding to your posting of Kid Rock and the display of Our Flag. I find it hard to beleive that no one else is talking about the flagrant display of No Regard or Respect for Our Symbol of Freedom. We currently have Men and Women dying for that same symbol right now overseas.
I am OutRaged that people are SO numb to Our standards in this country and the depths that they are sinking to.Sure he has the freedom to do just what he did, but how does that make Our Vets and active service people feel?

I agree with wattsup, the man looks and acts like drunken trailer trash. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that he wouldn't have a clue that his actions were offensive to our country, our basic symbol of freedom and to veterans everywhere. If this is the kind of supporter our current president attracts, he needs to put out a different message or be replaced--soon!
BTW, Justin and Janet were shameful as well. This was a family event. Let them get an hour on MTV, then they can both get naked. I might even watch that.
To: wattsup
it was kid rock that did that...not chris rock.
