Did anyone get offended when Chris Rock wore a flag by putting a hole in the middle of it

I was for a moment.
So many people do not realize this is an inappropriate way to display our flag.
He is a strong supporter of the troops.
I'm going to let it go as an overzealous and ignorant indiscretion.

Normally I don't get offended at a flag on clothes, but it just looked sort of crass- the flag is sort of beat and has a thread hanging from it, and a hole cut in the middle. But I give him a pass too - I think he was trying to be patriotic and didn't realize how it would come off.
