Update from AOL Corporate HQ:
Just got a phone call back from Dottie McCain, a member of an AOL Corporate Committee called 'Escalations'.
A five member committee is investigating the lewd behavior of Jane Jackson & Justin Timberlake at the AOL sponsored Super Bowl half-time show.
Please send your comments to Dottie McCain here:
DCMCCAINJAX@aol.com Also call this number at AOL HQ between 9-5 pm M-F:
1-703-265-1000
Ask the switchboard operator to connect you with 'Escalations'.
She assured me that a live person on the committee would take the call.
I told her that AOL will suffer serious financial losses unless there are consequences for those responsible. And I am contemplating taking a loss of several thousand dollars in a stock sale.
Emails from Freepers who are AOL members and/or stockholders will be most effective but I urge everyone to email & Call ASAP.
Please ping others to this post.

Thanks for the email address.
I was "kind" enough to forward MTV's web page to them -- you know, the one that was up there BRAGGING about what they were going to do -- BEFORE they removed it.
I just happened to email it to myself last night. :-)

Dear NFL Fan,
Thank you for your comments and interest in the
National Football League.
We were extremely disappointed by the
MTV-produced halftime show. It was
totally inconsistent with assurances our office
was given about the content
of the show.
The show was offensive, inappropriate and
embarrassing to us and our fans.
We will change our policy, our people and our
processes for managing the
halftime entertainment in the future in order to
deal far more effectively
with the quality of this aspect of the Super
Bowl.
Commissioner Paul Tagliabue

Just got a phone call back from Dottie McCain, a member of an AOL Corporate Committee called 'Escalations'. AOL should sue CBS for at least the entire value of their sponsorship contract (which I'm sure is in the tens of millions of dollars). Such a lawsuit would actually be good publicity for them, and would IMHO be justified on the basis that being associated with the "AOL High-speed halftime event" or whatever it was called would be damaging to AOL's attempts at earning a reputation as a "family friendly" on-line service (yes, AOL has some stuff that's not exactly family-friendly, but I understand that they provide filters free-of-charge).
That plus I would think such a lawsuit would be much more damaging to CBS/MTV than any find the FCC would hand down.
