Does it matter?

It matters to me. 100K for couples is definitely too low. Even for individuals it seems low. But get that number up high enough and you won't hear a complaint from me.

You should send your suggestion to John Kerry, I'm sure he would like your input.

Myself, I think redistribution of wealth is unacceptable, but then again, so does George W. Bush and that, along with many other reasons, I'll vote for him again

Are you saying that if my husband and I make over $250,000 and Kerry wants to raise our taxes so you get more money in your check it's okay with you?

So it's just a case of whose ox is being gored? Explain to me why someone who makes $200K, or $300K, or whatever arbitrary amount you care to name, should be taxed at a higher rate.

Do they use more government services? No, on average people actually consume less government services as their income increases. It sounds to me like you buy into the whole "tax the rich" concept - "Rich" being anyone who earns a dollar more per year than you do.
