I just don't want to join a clique that insists that he walks on water. That's so high school.

BZZZT, you lose. I don't know anyone here who insists that he walks on water and, as far as myself, I've determined quite seriously that my family and country are in much better hands with Bush than any other viable candidate. From there it was a very short step to deciding to disagree with fellow right-wingers that insist we cut the GOP and Bush off at the knees.

IMHO, it is so "high-school" to assume people would support Bush for any other reasons.

You are correct and I have signed off again because we Bush voters' arguments insult the intelligence of the naysayers.I would never want to do that.....;)

Stay home, vote for a fringe party, or do the same thing and just go pull the Dem lever...or, vote straight GOP. The first three choices WILL give you the same result. The fourth choice may not give you a president who will do everything you want, but at least you'll get some of it. The first three choices will give you NOTHING you crave, except Bush's ouster.

Very well said, nopardons!!

My dear Saropod it has nothing to do with your "tow the line" "Tow the line" itself is an insult. If every time a person doesn't agree with you, you use a comment like that you are using "controlling techniques" yourself.

You do not know me.....You have no idea where I stand politically.....and you criticize because I don't "Tow your line." FYI I was a Goldwater conservative, who voted for Perot, and who have gone door to door in our community trying to get a conservative elected in place of our "d" congressman.. You lump me in the sum of those who thinks Bush "walks on water"...I suppose you'd even classify me as a Bushbot...Has it ever crossed your mind that some of us are tired of the constant negative whining that others seem to project....Complaints with out addressing the problems or giving possible solutions....Sideline coaches who have never played the sport! But criticise those who do. Yes I will vote for Bush....I threw away one vote in my life time and got WJC. Not again! If that makes me a Bushbot so be it. I don't know where you stand politically either, but am unimpressed with your attacks....no they are not subtle.

Fine, I already made it clear I'd leave it to others to, uh, what was it you wanted? Ahhh, to be "woo'ed" ...

I reacted to your posts. Your posts clearly indicated to me that you did not want to hear anything from anybody unless they "toed the line." And yes, based on what you posted and by the reactions of other bushbots that responded to you, I would have classified you as a "bushbot."

AFA offering suggestions, let me recommend to you that you might want to attend CPAC next time. Lots of solutions offered there. Lots of us there that "play the sport" to use your terminology.

A lot of what I am involved in (property rights) requires solutions to be offered. They generally are on this forum. There is a coterie of rock-solid conservatives here offering practical solutions to horrific tyrannical actions by local and state governments.

You only have to look.

Please read post 207. Do you understand the FR is losing some of it support and best minds because people who support Bush feel intimidated by the "naysayers"

Look, if you had been paying attention, I have said in several threads (i think even this one) in recent days that I would be most probably supporting W. because of his stance on the WOT.

If you want to go whining to JimRob because you feel "intimidated" after insulting people all over this thread, then it is your right to do so.

Just don't expect me to take you seriously from this point on.

I won't call you a bush basher. What is a Bush bot, someone who, though disagreeing on spending and immigration, is going to vote for him because they trust him on national security, like some conservative things he's done, think he is by far the best choice?

No. That is not my definition. I can understand the position you outlined.

What I cannot understand is the attitude of some here that think CFR is a good idea. That think NCLB is a good idea. That expansion of the Farm Bill is a good idea. That floating the immigration "guest worker program" is a good idea. That any frickin' thing W. has done is okey dokie because he has an (R) after his name.

This attitude is insulting. You have seen it on this thread.

I will most probably vote for W. in November. Because of the WOT. Because the one other choice i would have considered thinks the war in Iraq is "unconstitutional" when all they are doing is playing with words.

I will vote for W. and hold my nose quite strongly while doing it.

Do you believe calling someone bushbot adds to the conversation, helps advance your point of view,is more likely to get a Bush voter to listen more closely to your argument?

What is your aim in calling someone a bushbot?

They have clearly indicated they are not in a position to listen. They wish to insult.

My aim in calling someone a bushbot is to call attention to their thought process. It is totalitarian.

I did plan on attending CPAC next year at the urgence of Dio...But if attending CPAC makes one think they are entitled to "insult the intelligence" of those on FR who support Bush....I want no part of it.

I find that "Bushbot" is a term often used by the males on FR when any woman posts something that doesn't match their line of thinking.....

This originated as a Pro Bush thread and was immediately attacked by the anti's It has nothing to do with a legitimate discussion....It's the same mantra again and again and again.....It's all Bush's fault.

Let's be realistic. Bush has inherited a lot of (what was the term you used for cow dung?) It is a formidable job. I know of no one who is running or who has a chance of being elected that could do a better job. The naysayers are working against him. (If they truly wanted him to change they'd be on the phone and writing letters letting the GOOP and Bush know their thoughts; not whining on FR. Complaining for complaining sake accomplishes nothing!

I once proclaimed I was a bushbot when TLB was calling everyone who supported Bush a bushbot.I tend to think of TLB and his attitude when I hear it.

I have insulted nobody's intelligence. I have pointed out what is.

"I find that "Bushbot" is a term often used by the males on FR when any woman posts something that doesn't match their line of thinking....."

Why the sexism?

"(If they truly wanted him to change they'd be on the phone and writing letters letting the GOOP and Bush know their thoughts; not whining on FR. Complaining for complaining sake accomplishes nothing!"

What the hell do you think CPAC is?

And while you're at it, explain to me why Ed Gillespie (head of the RNC) took no questions after his speech there?
