I wonder if the liberal news network will be reporting this gem of an article. Looks like the jig is up for our some of our fellow liberal 'Americans'.
Click
here. for an article dealing with Galloway and the accusations.
Here's a link with some words of wisdom from Mr. Arthur Millholland.
The full article at this
link may clarify this a little. MEMRI describes them as voucher-allocations awarded
outside the UN Food for Oil Program.

Saddam's regime helped friends beat UN oil embargo: former officials This whole ugly disaster had better not be swept under the rug. For it's disclosure, prosecution,(especially tax fraud), and use in
illustrating that the moral "No War" crowd were really just putting the rest of the world at risk in order to enrich themselves in cash and influence.

Great Britain: George Galloway received 1 million barrels. Fawwaz Zreiqat received 1 million barrels. Zreiqat also appears in the Jordanian section as having received 6 million barrels. The Mujahideen Khalq(3) in Britain received 1 million barrels.

For future reference, here's a link from June of 2000 to an organization called MiddleEastUK.com. It has an article that mentions Galloway, Scott Ritter, and another guy we may hear more about in the future: a left-wing MP named Tam Dalyell.
All heart or a pain in the neck
Guardian, UK - Apr 22, 2003
... The veteran Labour MP Tam Dalyell, who was with Galloway on the trip to Iraq, insisted the Glasgow Kelvin MP was not in thrall to Saddam.

From the same guy who financed Galloway.
So, is the European press covering these findings?
Not that it should come as a surprise to anyone, but it turns out some of the staunchest international opponents of invading Iraq -- on principle, you understand -- were up to their eyeballs in secret deals with the now deposed regime of Saddam Hussein.
Nice bung-Gallow!

Wait till the Food For Oil Program information surfaces. Did you hear Rush today? Anon, Blix, et al, all had their paws in the till dipping the cream off the top. This could be fun!

the discussions that follow an article are often more informative than the article itself.I think that is quite common--without intending any denigration of your article in particular, of course. In fact, I think that is the justification for FR--the articles which are posted here get turned into something substantively better than the source article as initially published .

Thanks much for pulling this all together.
Saw something today (17 Feb 04) that gives indication that we will be seeing more soon (in addition to the very recent Galloway articles). Not much new that I can see in the article, but FWIW:
"Results of Saddams oil bribe probe to be made public"
BAGHDAD: Iraqi Oil Minister Ibrahim Bahr al-Ulum said on Monday he would soon make public the results of his investigation into the alleged oil bribes handed out to foreign political figures by former leader Saddam Hussein.
